I walked in and immediately received service, was sent to go park in the lot and instructed to return once the trailer was dropped to finish paperwork. I was greeted by another associate in the parking lot to direct me where to park. Being that I'm pretty inexperienced in backing up trailers, I asked him to just do it for me and he gladly jumped in to help and took care of the parking situation in just a few minutes. It might not have seemed like a big deal to him, but it was a HUGE relief to me to have someone help me. Once the trailer was dropped, I heard the service counter guy/clerk come over the radio and tell the other associate to let me head out and he'd already finished the paperwork- i didn't need to come back in. Thank you very much to the two men working this morning- I had to leave work to drop off the trailer and what could've been a huge endeavor for me ended up being seamless and very simple. I wish I knew their names!

I got charged $150 for scratches in paint that didn't even go all the way down to the metal. That is rediculous to charge that much for a paint job they are more then likely going to do on their own. I would not go back there again and you will be lucky if I rent from u haul again.

True Value Rental was excellent throughout the whole process. The reservation process through the national reservation desk was horrible! I called a local U-Haul dealer (not True Value) to reserve a vehicle. They took my information and told me that if they wouldn't have the vehicle I wanted available they would contact me (I guess they were busy and didn't have time to check while I was on the phone). A little while later I got a call from the national reservation desk, unfortunately I was unable to take the call and it went to voicemail. The message was that the dealer I called would not have the vehicle I needed on the day I needed it, so U-Haul was going to do me a favor and reserve a larger vehicle at a different local dealer. The other option was a vehicle the size I needed at a location 20 miles away. Unfortunately, I had absolutely no need, or desire, to have a larger vehicle, and I had worked with the second local dealer before and will never work with them again. I had, however, worked with the dealer 20 miles away (True Value) before, and was happy to do so again. I called the national reservation desk back to change the reservation to True Value, and after waiting on hold for 15 minutes, discovered that as well as changing the size of the vehicle, and the dealer, my trip had been registered as a one-way trip instead of an in-town trip. The first person on the phone explained that the whole reservation would have to be changed and transferred me to a supervisor. I explained the situation to the supervisor, and that I would prefer to have the originally requested size vehicle from the location 20 miles away, and ended up in this horrible discussion where I was made to feel like a stupid idiot for not wanting the upgrades that U-Haul had so generously approved for me, from the dealer that U-Haul had so generously chosen for me. Oh, and then I was met with disbelief when I said that I was not available to call back 2 days before my scheduled move. I had to explain several times what size vehicle I needed, that I needed a guaranteed reservation, and that I wanted to rent it from True Value. Finally, after being made to feel like the worst customer in the world, I was able to get a guaranteed reservation for the size vehicle I needed, from a dealer I was willing to work with. Total time spent on the phone: 32 min 49 sec. After waiting a short while after hanging up, I called True Value to make sure that the reservation was correct, because I did not have any confidence that it would be. Luckily, the people at True Value were very polite and did confirm the correct reservation. If you truly do record all calls, please listen to this one and do some education with the person who made me never want to work with U-Haul again!

The equipment was well maintained but not that clean. When i picked up the van i was told that it was full but it was not. I was charged for more miles than i actually drove. Im a retired bus driver. i am very good at charting miles and gas usage. I will do my best to NOT use U-Haul again. Sincerely, Jamie Dycus I

I was charged for cleaning because I didn’t mop the floor. I was not informed that was required and when inquiring about the charge to this location the employee was rude and not helpful. I think it is ridiculous that I was charged for something I wasn’t informed of and it’s not posted in the truck to mop the deck. We received lots of rain all day and even after I turned it in. I’m sure it leaked all night. Poor customer service.

The lady at the desk was very friendly and polite, but the man that checked us in and out of the uhaul truck was not friendly at all and very picky about the little bit of dirt we left in the truck. Moving is stressful enough and a simple greeting of hello would have been nice to have received from him.

Was surprised that the three day rental was 3 24-hour days so since I brought thevtruck back mid afternoon of the third day, according to U-Haul’s reckoning this was the first six hours of day4!! Ridiculous! Had to pay $20 more. Bad business.
