They need more staff to service the location, It was very busy there.
Make sure that all reserved vehicles are available. Make sure that all vehicles work. Make sure that all vehicles are cleared out inside. Make sure that all vehicles have gas when vehicles are picked up. THE WORST EXPERIENCE THAT I CAN REMEMBER!!!!!!!!

The location was a bit sketch, not in a great part of town. The clerk was efficient but totally impersonal and eager to charge me for gas when the dial was on the mark but barely showed the slightest fragment of the 3/4 white line mark on the gas gauge. The mark was about 1/8â€ thick and the right edge of the mark showed about 1/32â€ of white mark. I got charged extra for gas.
Needs Friendlier service. Was very confusing and felt like they were ripping people off. Needs reserved parking for uhauls, all the spots were taken by personal vehicles. Timelier and Better customer service.
It would be nice if the company would have someone come out with you to check out the equipment and assist with hooking up the trailers.

They are very short with you and seem a little bit impatient when you ask them questions. This time, the van needed and oil change but they rented it to us.
charger a $25.00 cleaning fee after sweeping the cab and back out. The â€œemployeeâ€ said that's standard if they find anything in the cab. after speaking to a manager he informed me of a convenience fee if dropped off after hours which was only $20.00. still they charged me $25. scummy place with scummy people
I was hit with a cleaning fee that website rental didn't say anything about. The guy at the counter said it had to be paid despite not explaining why. I'm fairly certain we were ripped off by this shady place. Absolutely will never use this service again and will recommend literally anything else to all my friends and family.
I have been a UHaul customer for over 15 years, and this is the first time I have ever had concerns regarding a rental location. We originally scheduled a different rental location, but when we checked in online it had been changed to Express Food Mart - (26107). This was fine, however, when we went to pick up our U-Haul, we encountered several distressing issues: --The cab of the vehicle had clearly not been cleaned. ----There was trash in the door panels (including straws and other food related items). ----Several electronic charging cables had been left on the dash. ----There was gravel on the dash. ----The cab was generally dirty. --Inside theÂ box truck, we had similar issues: ----There were sheets left inside from a previous rental. ----The floor had not been swept. ----There was general debris and change left on it. These issues would have been distressing enough during normal times, but in the midst of a global pandemic they are particularly concerning. After leaving the rental location, I spent over an hour cleaning the and disinfecting the cab, which caused delays in the timetable for my cross-country move. This neighborhood location should not be allowed to continue operating like this, as it is clearly a long-standing issue as evidenced by a number of other reviews with similar issues from this particular location. Additionally, there was only a single employee who was also managing the convenience store--so they had no capacity to help with any part of the process. I was simply handed keys inside the store and told to go and find the truck from the number on the fob. I then drove around the parking lot to find the auto-transport and had to hook it up myself. Fortunately, I have rented these several times before so I knew how to do so---but this would have been problematic for many customers. This understaffing also resulted in additional delays once these tasks were completed, as I had to wait for the employee to come out to finalize the rental and inspect the hook-up, which merely consisted of them coming outside and taking a picture of what I had done. Simple put: I expect better from U-Haul. This was the most disappointing experience I have ever had with the company.

The truck we rented needs an alignment
This location was friendly and helpful, however I initially chose a completely different location with a 9:30am pickup. U-Haul changed my reservation to a 1:30pm pick up at an entirely different location. I was on hold for 30 minutes before being assisted with this issue. The woman I spoke with set this final location up, and upon arrival the clerk told me he did not have the truck I needed. My only option was to take a different truck that had to be returned to that same location, which caused me to drive 2 hours more than I needed to. Overall it was a poor experience. I wanted to pick up in Delaware and return near my new home in Pennsylvania, which is what I initially requested. Seems like the online system could be improved. I shouldn't be allowed to pick a specific location and time if it is going to be changed on me.
There are so many places offering Uhauls. Most of which have better customer service with people that know what they are doing and how to properly communicate with customers in a professional manner.
More knowledgeable people needed. No contract paper or receipt given to me. The associate said contract paper will send to email but there was no contract paper. Besides that there was 15'er at this location in the uhaul.com. But when I call to the store for make sure if it really available, the associate said "we don't take new customer. we don't have any truck available" and hang up. But I needed truck that night desperately, so I searched all over the DE & nearby states. Still there was 15'er in that location. So I did reservation online anyway. After I made a reservation, I called to that store again to make sure there was 15'er. Still the associate said they don't have 15'er. It was so disappointed because I said to my sons go pick up the truck. And right after that, I told to my sons that they don't have the truck, so they don't have to go there. After a moment, someone called me that my scheduled pick up time is over so they are going to cancel my reservation. It makes me so angry. After all that time I spent search for truck, make a reservation and call 2 times, they are going to cancel my reservation? And there was truck available at that location. I believe they don't want make reservation by themselves. They only take the reservations by customers. And they can't understand what customer say to them, they just say they don't have truck. It's very irresponsible manner and attitude. Uhaul company supposed to make sure when anybody to be a uhaul dealer, that applicant hire good speaking English people.
We came to pick up van 7am in the morning! I didn't like that we were there first, others came in the clerk would stop waiting on us and take care of them ! We had to go 1 hr away! Also, we were running late because of this! Had to stop to get gas, the gauge was almost empty! Delayed us again! We've used these people before!
first time using business with UHaul and it was a total disaster. truck never staged for pick up. had to wait until location opened. cost me 150.00 out of pocket to pay guys sitting at my site for a hour an all they said we will refund you 50.00. may have to look at budget account never had issues with them.
Upon bringing the truck back I was told that I would have to pay for not folding the blankets back up. My parent's and family have used uhaul before and never had to do any of that. I was also never told of this charge when I first went to pick the truck up. (Two different people helped me when I picked it up and dropped it off). What was also quite frustrating was that the truck we rented had no a/c with it being 90 plus degrees out. The truck ran really rough we noticed as well driving to pick up the materials I needed to pick up. Overall my experience was not really good at all for my first time renting a uhaul truck.
People were rude and did not have my vehicle ready after doing mobile registration . . Need to learn how to be more professional. I ended up calling cops
This was the 2nd time in 2 weeks I rented a cargo van from this location. The 1st time all went well, great vehicle, service & easy process, but I never received any emails, receipts, etc.? But this time, terrible.! The van was old (gear shift on steering column) power steering stiff, & noise coming from rear (brakes or suspension), just figured due to age. Upon driving a few miles (& stopping) noises were more prevalent but only had ~ a mile to go. Did not feel safe & should have returned, but I was limited on time & it was 90 degrees! After loading van & ready to go, NO A/C! Ckd all ctrls, etc. shut van off & on, finally worked. Kept doing this the whole time & it was so hot! During process of return (took pic of mileage before & after) as instructed. Counter person wanted to see my pic, He wanted to handle my phone & I told him I would prefer he didn't & he just grab it out of my hand & started going through my pics, etc. I immediately told him to stop going through my phone & just give it to me & I would find the pic he needed. He didn't & told me to take another pic of mileage (and as if I was a moron) he went step by step from starting the van to waited 30 seconds! I was furious by this time & he finally handed my phone back & without saying I was not going to touch it! I did have one glove on so I held it & went to my car to get another glove. I took the pic which had the identical mileage. This time I would not let him have my phone, & said are you questioning the mileage? I didn't have far to go for move. He said no, he wanted the fuel gauge to be shown in the pic. If he would have just conveyed that instead of talking down to me, only guessing because I'm female, there would not have been an issue. Then he rudely told me what my total was, I acknowledged, & wanted to inform him of the issues I had with the van & he rudely walked away. Also, each time I left location & only went a qtr of a mile, the odometer would advance to the next mile, what a coincidence? My opinion is a business rating should not be a 1 star one day & a 4 star another. After so many issues with 2nd rental & counter person, I would not recommend this location.
