I reserved a cargo van at the U-Haul location inside Lake Hills Chevron at 106 148th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98007. I received an email confirmation, but when I arrived, I was told that no cargo vans were available. The staff offered me a truck instead and said I would only be charged the cargo van rate. However, that promised rate was never applied, and I was charged the higher truck price. I also returned the vehicle with more gas than it had when I picked it up, but I did not receive any credit for the extra fuel. This was very frustrating because I relied on the confirmed reservation and the pricing I was promised at the location. U-Haul should make sure confirmed vehicles are actually available, honor promised price adjustments, and fairly credit customers for excess fuel.

Sandra HThis was really bad and I am very much disgusted. I rented a cargo van and a furniture dolly for 24 hours and I was charged double. I returned them during the business hours, the worker was the same guy who signed me up, he recognized me, asked if I put gas (which I did) and said "Then you can just give me the key and go." The rental was closed 14 hours later and doubled the daily charges for van and dolly. When I went back to ask why, there was another guy who said that I returned them after hours, not as the time, but because I didn't give the other guy enough time to check them, so "he just had to leave the key in a box for the morning shift". When I ask asked if this is normal, he said grinning: "This is called business". For $30?!?.... Just disgusting. :(
