The equipment and the pickup/dropoff locations and personnel were all great. What really sucked was the Uhaul online reservation experience. My reservation pickup location was royally botched. Right up until under 12 hours remaining for the pickup, my online reservation showed the ORIGINAL pickup destination in Sammamish, only a couple miles from my home. Fortunately, I called there to confirm...that's the only way I would have known the actual truck was in Bellevue, about 20 miles away. Sort of like showing up for your flight at JFK, then the reservations person informs you your flight will be departing from good.

If equipment is not available that a customer has reserved at the location where the customer was advised that the equipment was available, advise the customer of that and tell the customer about alternate equipment that is available. Honor the price quote for the original equipment if the replacement equipment has a higher rental. Martin A. Seellg

I understand that a break-in at this location occurred the evening before our reservation in which keys were stolen to several of the vehicles. However, this did not inhibit the possibility of going on-line and reserving said vehicle that had a missing key that day. Additionally, I was called by a woman who wanted to know when I would be arriving for my reservation that day, and when my time was indicated, she confirmed over the phone that the vehicle would be ready then. Despite this, when I arrived at the location, I was was advised of the break-in, the lack of key for the vehicle we attempted to reserve, and that it would be "a wait". Unfortunately, since this was a fairly last minute issue that arose, and I needed to be able to pick up my young children in time for their arrival home from school, time was not on my side. The gentleman working the counter was nice and offered another vehicle, in fact a larger one, which he could give me fairly quickly, but I felt very uneasy driving such a large 15 ft truck. I asked if he felt that he would have any of the 10 ft trucks soon, at which point another UHaul person who was in the office at the time (whom I was informed was from another location or HQ???) quite rudely informed me that they were attempting to make the best of the situation and he was attempting to cut a key, right then for the vehicle if I just wanted to settle down and wait a second. Once again, I agreed that the situation was not a great one, but I needed to know if "a second" truly meant a short period of time or closer to 1/2 an hour since I was going to have to make alternative arrangements to pick up my children. I was told then, that I could drive to a further location to get an alternative vehicle, which really didn't help the time issue, so we were essentially back to square one. The gentleman behind the counter offered to walk me out to the 15 ft truck, which I followed him (perhaps to get me away from this other, more understandably equally frustrated, but fairly rude gentleman?). I did not feel comfortable driving such a larger vehicle, being a shorter female and not having the ability to see the side mirrors that well. When we walked back in, after a few minutes, I was informed after starting the paperwork, that it was going to have to be the 15ft truck or nothing, and that the person would "Pull it up" for me and I was handed my paperwork. When I walked out, I was told that I couldn't park my own car anywhere on that lot and had to drive around to another business' parking lot and take the chance of parking there and not getting towed and then walking back to UHaul location (It should be noted that there were multiple parking spots available on the UHaul/gas station lot). The truck had been moved forward perhaps 7-10 feet from the original location and the key was left in it. No other directions/instructions were given, which once again, would have been useful, considering I had made it clear I had neve
