I tried to rent a u-haul Vehicle transport paid for the got to the location it was NOT there. they rescheduled for the next day at another location...went there no transport there either. had to take a dolly witch I did not want. the dolly was missing one of the chains hook the straps were bad buy I was desperate so I took it. so as now my credit card was charged 3 times. they say it will be refunded all but the tow dolly. I'm angered and will never use U-haul again and will be telling all of my friends. At this piont the only thing u-haul could and SHOULD is refund all my money...Tow days of running around and never getting what I ordered and paid 3 times is horrible customer service. Keep your promises. Uhaul broke numerous promises to us including: to install a trailer hitch, to have a 5x8 trailer available, our being able to pick up a trailer at a certain location, hooking up the trailer for us.Jon M.
Stop advertising locations as 24/7 that are not. This one is definitely not. Had to wait until 8am before app would let me start pick up then still had to go to counter for key at pick up and there's no drop box at drop off as app instructs.Tony M.

Initially since it was lunch rush for them (this is a liquor, restaurant, lottery, Western Union, Uhaul and convenience store all in one) they were extremely short on proper customer service (very quick tempered and inconsiderate). They didn't have my truck as promised and gave me a number to call. In fact they told me my res was scheduled for Wednesday & that's why my truck wasn't there. That was a COMPLETE LIE. When I proved my res was for today that's when he said I have no res you gotta go to another place to get a truck if you want it today. I asked, who will give me the $50 res fee because my vehicle wasn't there as promised. He said call the number and ask them. I called, the customer service rep was cordial. She saw that it was a larger truck there so she told me to go tell them she was switching the res. at no additional price. I DID NOT agree to switch my $50 in lieu of another truck. I told her I'll go somewhere else. She said no I'm switching it now so I wouldn't have to go elsewhere. Well, no one ever walked us outside to do a walk around. He said,â€It's ok. I know it's ok because I checked it in when it came. It's in good condition nothing wrongâ€. Well, that was ANOTHER LIE. When you guys sent a link to my cell to check the truck out it was as if the pictures on the link were of another truck. I took so many replacement pictures and could have taken more but it only left room for 1 pic. per area. The inside of the back had trash from previous rental (little baggie with a STRONG POSSIBILITY of unauthorized drug residue. The bag on the wall for the pads were empty & crumbled/slightly torn (not sure if it was supposed to be) but I didn't need them. Also one of the wooden bumper slacks was hanging down. The inside of the cabin was filthy with mud on the floor and black and mild cigar paper wraps in the passenger seat with the smell of cigarette smoke (which I'm an asthmatic so I literally had to keep my mask on the ENTIRE 4-5 hrs). It is clear that nothing was swept in the back or sanitized in the cabin. I've been a customer of Uhaul for years and never experienced ANYTHING like this before. On a good note: Jay was helpful upon our return. Between a major accident and my return time being right in rush hour (not to mention how long it took me to get the truck and inspect it (and somewhat clean it out just for me to be comfortable in the cabin), Jay allowed me the extra 30 min or so grace period. Instead of anyone coming out he told me to take a picture of the gas and mileage so I doubt if the vehicle was checked at all. He charged me something a bit higher than quoted because of my mileage I suppose but I told him I spent extra money to fill it up. He asked me why did I do that because he can't reduce the price. I was like...ok because I assumed I was going to get my $50 returned from the promised res. that wasn't accurate & how horrible the truck was (appearance) but to no credit was given. I was exhausted from the day. I was a little afraid to complain any further from their prior short temper plus they had access to my credit card & personal info. I thought it would be best to leave. I will think twice about using Uhaul again especially if it's not from an actual Uhaul building (unfortunately we don't have too many close by because most of them are just authorized dealers). If I ran a Uhaul franchise I would give my customers the best customer care possible. Each vehicle would at least be sanitized/disinfected especially for people like me who have phobias (germs) or health issues (not to mention COVID). I don't know, I guess for me the little things matter. Thanks for sending this survey link so that I could adequately express my experience.Ernest B.

The person representing Dyson Store/U-haul rental was rude, and untruthful about almost everything from the due back time of the 24hr rental, to his name and who the manager/owner of the store was. The same person wore a mask around his neck (not covering his mouth and nose) and when I brought COVID to his attention he replied "I don't care!" This same individual proceeded to call the police on me, not once but twice for no apparent reason. If lives matter to Uhaul-- not just Black lives, then this person should not be permitted to represent the Uhaul brand. I have rented from Uhaul (never from this location before), quite a few times over my lifetime and have never experienced the lack of professionalism, and disrespect which I have at Dyson Store. There is so much more that I have not included for the sake of time, however I did make a video and have evidence of these occurrences. I contacted the Uhaul regional representative who has not yet contacted me-- its been more than a week as I complete this customer survey. I hope Uhaul is not in agreement with the Dyson Store business/customer model and they seriously consider who is permitted to represent their brand. As convenient as the Dyson Store was to my residence, I would NOT use or recommend them ever again!SHAWN B.

Location didn't have the furniture dolly or blankets I reserved. Owner didn't walk me through anything. Just handed be the keys and told me the truck was out back. Floorboards were muddy and the windshield was dangerously dirty. Previous renter left something in the back of the truck that I returned.Christopher L.

The location was fine but it didn't have the things I had reserved on-line and needed for my move. Of 4 dozen furniture blankets I reserved they happened to have 6. I had to call all over the city to find a furniture dolly and ended up driving another 15 miles to get one. Uhaul service was not what was advertised.Kristopher M.

The truck was NOT at the location on the reservation. I had to call UHaul and they took a while to find the truck and sent us to a different location. This delayed our pickup by at least 1 hour and was very inconvenient. We will not use UHaul again.JAMES C.
