We showed up to drop the U-Haul off and it’s a storage unit that has a gate and you need a code. There was a phone number on the rental agreement, but no one would answer the phone. We wound up waiting for 45 minutes until another person showed up and let us in the gate. I called U-Haul customer service to try to get help in the wait time was 45 minutes. We also called another local U-Haul and they couldn’t help us. Once we got into the facility, there were no good places to even park our 26 foot U-Haul. This was a very disappointing return experience after spending a great deal of money. Especially because we rented a U-Haul two weeks ago and the return was very easy. You need to stop using this location if they’re not gonna answer their phone. When we were leaving, there was another family trying to get in having the exact same problem.

Wasn’t sent a gate code and wasn’t aware I needed one. Drove in following a truck, but when I tried to leave the gates were locked and I was never given a code to exit. Had to make a few calls.
Mike GMake sure that the tires on your trailer is good not metal sticking out of them and send people on the road with trailers like that. I will never recommend U-Haul Brownstown to anybody again we could’ve been in an accident.
