The truck was parked over five blocks away from the store, and the owner would not leave his store to look over the truck with me. Anyway I needed it to move, so I went with it. I only drove 12KM, the gas gauge did not move at all, it was still between 1/4 and 3/8. The owner marked it down as at 1/4 the next day and charged me for 10L of fuel at their higher rate of $1.63/L. There is no way this truck used 10L driving 12KM. The needle did not move at all, he has no way to know I didn't put in fuel. It's only like $11 he is charging me, but it's not an $11 he deserves, just such a small amount it's not worth me going after. Very unprofessional. I hope getting bad reviews is worth the small amount of money you stole from me. Additionally, the inside of the truck was quite dirty when I got it and I cleaned the inside of it out of fear of the fees and BS I heard he pulls in the other reviews. Avoid this guy.

the 15ft truck was not located at the market, it is parked several blocks away near a park. Other than that, everything went smooth.

They didn’t tell me where the vehicle was, my pick up time was 10am and I wasn’t informed where the vehicle was for 2 hours. Then they took 40 minutes just to re-issue my rental agreement which I had already done online and kept helping other people instead which made me very frustrated. The service was poor and I was generally upset with how it was handled. Waste of my time.

Be more upfront about your fees ! It is ridiculous that a so called 20$ rental ends up costing 60$ and we barely went far at all. Also don’t have someone threaten to charge us a cleaning fee for a van that wasn’t so clean to start with. We moved clean mattresses so there was nothing dirty that even went in the Van.

We had the van reserved from 11am. When we got there at 11am the store wasn't even open. Guy didn't show up until 11:20. The van was very dusty in the back when we got it, which we didn't care about. We only moved a few boxes and didn't add any mess to the vans condition but when we returned it he wanted it swept before he accepted it. We cleaned up after someone else's use of it. Poor business practices, we would not return to this location, especially if we needed the rental first thing in the morning and guy shows up whenever he feels like it.

The self pick up process was horrible. Because the reservation match the driver name/credit card we could not do self pick up and had to make serveral calls to customer service representatives. It took an hour to pick up our truck, and representatives were clearly not local, as their English was not good. Even when the location finally opened, the employee was scattered and the process took quite some time. Price was right, but this process was terrible.

Staff were late by 40 mins arriving for the vehicle pick up I requested a truck and was booked for a van I assumed all was correct and did not read the email They kept trying to get me to return the van after 3 hours since they had rented it again When I returned it at 5 o'clock he tryed to charge me another days rent since I wasn't back at 3 o'clock even though I had been advised by email I could keep the van till next day I had 2 men hired for 4 hours to help with my move Since I had to use the van instead of the truck it took me an extra two hours to complete the move and I had to pay them $25 per hour each extra An unpleasant experience which cost me extra money I have rented from uhaul numerous times over the years and never had any trouble I would appreciate a call from a uhaul rep to explain this situation further

What you can improve is not to tell people you have a truck available at a certain location and then 2 days before call them and say its at a completely different location and time.And when I show up at the new location it wasn't even open. I was also told that because of this I would receive 50 dollars back because they didn't have the truck. NEVER RECEIVED IT!!!!!! I was also lied to by one of you customer service people. This company is complete garbage and I will NEVER use your service again! I will also recommend everyone I know to go somewhere else even if it costs more as in the end U-haul will screw you over and cost you more anyways.

You need to keep better inventory and honor your rates. I called Uhaul and was told I could pick up a flat bed truck for 19.99 and at a mileage of 9 49 cents a km. The day before I arrived I received a call from the neighbourhood dealer that the truck is not available. I was given a cargo van at and was promised my rate and fee would not change. On the day of, I was charged at a higher mileage and a safety fee that I did not need. I want to be refunded the difference in mileage and I want the safety fee refunded as well.

he worst experience I had in years of using a U-haul from a dealership location @ 4096 Oxford Street, Burnaby, BC. I am loyal and regular user of u-haul. I never thought worrying about a U-haul truck would backfire me. When I was picking up U-haul 10ft truck from 3rd party dealership location at 6pm, the store personnel was very naive and unsure about what he was talking about. Whenever I asked him any question he was like I am new in this and not sure why. First of all they charged me $101.39 putting 50 miles in calculation even when I told him that I am not going beyond 25 miles, Which was okay and I did paid. Secondly, when I ask the store personnel where should I out the keys because I'll be coming back around mid nigh to drop it off, he said leave the passenger door open and keep the keys inside the truck and I asked him is it safe? He was too inconfident and said I am not sure I don't do this often. I tried to call U-haul customer care after that and after long wait I got someone on the phone who listened to my query and put me on brief hold. I was getting late so I had no choice rather then hanging up the phone expecting a call back which never happened. At midnight when I went back to drop off the truck, I again called customer service to confirm that can I put the keys in the truck and leave the passenger door open? She mentioned that if something happens its my responsibility. I was shocked to hear that as it was totally opposite to what the store personnel asked me to do. I was left with no choice at the midnight. I had no direction what to do and I have a early morning work next day morning and I had nowhere to go. I cared for U-haul and of course to be safe I left the keys inside and lock the doors. Which was the safest thing to do according to me rather than believing the naive store personnel to leave the keys in truck and keep passenger door open. When I went back next day to check if everything was okay and to get my refund, the store personnel and manager on the phone were very rude to me. They asked me to pay service charge to unlock door etc. When I asked the manager why did they get the overnight U-haul when they had no proper provision or procedure of key box outside the store, he started pointing my mistake instead of understanding me. I want justice and my remaining owed money back!! I am ready to provide all the information needed to make sure this never happen again to anyone else. Park the truck in a more open area. It was very difficult pulling out as there were cars parked right in front. Parking behind the convenient store would be best. Other than that, everything was smooth sailing
