Truck was dirty and had garbage in it. Ignition stuck, making it very hard to start. They were closed at 2pm when I was supposed to return the truck. They told me to park it on the street and walk the key to the drop box. There is no parking allowed on their street, I had to walk very far in an unsafe area.

I had the worst experience ordering through U-haul's website. I asked them for a specific pick up location that is close to me, they confirmed and everything sounded good on the phone. The night before the pick up date they changed the pick up location for me. We tried to return the truck in time but the gates were locked due to lack of staff so they closed for a few hours! How are people supposed to know what's going on? After we returned the truck with all the papers signed, we are still getting phone calls today as to why the truck hasn't been returned. I just got another call today regarding the mileage I drove. This place needs to use their resources first before contacting customers left and right causing me unnecessary stress.

we had confirmed reservation for San Ramon location and one day prior UHaul changed our pickup for 20miles away, They did not give us more miles and did not care at all when I called. we will book with other carriers next time

The manager seemed distracted by phone calls and conversations with other employees, didn't look at me or speak to me, just took my paperwork and walked away. At the end he asked, "How was the trailer, Sir?" Nice consolation, but by that time I had already decided that he was a jerk.

Truck was dirty and I had to clean windshield. Checking the oil I found it was low so installed a qt. from my shop. Manager told me I was dumb for doing that and he would not reimburse. There was a blanket in the truck when I picked it up and when returning the truck I was told to remove it or I would be charged $150. When I argued that I was told to leave the store and the premises. It cost me $64 to dispose of the rug. I would like that much credited to my account. I will never use Valley Truck again.

My preferred location was closer to my location, i was called by uhaul manager showing no concern that the location was changed to a much farther one. Anyway to compensate was she gave me 60 miles instead of the regular 30 mile because I questioned her that the pick up location was much farther. When we went to the far location they gave us 100 miles instead. Well... we were thankful for that but we only used almost 60 miles. overall experience was good except for the "manager" who called and was apathetic about the change of location.

I really enjoyed my experience working with this Uhaul facility. The gentleman at the counter was very informative, was very personable and knowledgeable. I would highly reccomend this facility to a friend or anyone I know in need of U haul services. I would love to do business with them again. He even noticed that it was my birthday and that is excellent customer service in my opinion. I give them two thumbs up.

Yes. I would recommend everyone I know to come here. They made me feeling better each time leaving than coming in. I rent a 24 ft truck 5 years ago. Good customer servise I came back this time to the same location to pick up.

The person working there was very pleasant but he had no key for the truck. He called a locksmith but after 2 hours I had to go elsewhere. I appreciate that they quickly cancelled the rental after I called.

I reserved this 24 Ft Truck 4 Days in Advance. My daughter went to pick up the Truck Saturday. They did not have the Truck. They offer us 2 15ft Trucks to pickup in Berkley. In the Meantime We had 4 Guys drinking Coke sitting around being Paid. We had to Hunt around for a Truck; finally obtained one from Penske, (undesirable truck) 3 hours later Penske Truck arrived for Loading. We could not have a 2 15 Trucks We had only One Driver Available for a 31/2 hour Drive to El Dorado Hills. I feel Betrayed by U-Haul. I have always rented from U-Haul. Personal in Castro Valley are so Incompetent, so Different from Shingle Springs & El Dorado Hill Personal. We were obligated to Cancel the Contract Because Castro Valley U-Haul did not Honor our Reservation. We are now requesting a Refund or Complete Credit to our Card. Betrayed Customer.

I was told I could drop the truck off at the 102 Union St. location in Vallejo. It has turned out the place is closed on Sundays! Moreover, I was overcharged by $20 in comparison with the original quote of $98 for a 10' truck rental ($102 for a 15') and they wouldn't contact the UHaul center to resolve the dispute forcing me to accept their price. These are unacceptable 'business' practices.

I originally had an appt to pick up my truck at a different location. When I arrived they did not have a truck for me so I was sent to Valley Trk. This delayed or day and hope this does not happen again when I had a reservation far in advance.

Customer service - NOT friendly at all! Stupid extra fees - like only $39.95 for truck but also $1.69 per mile (lame). You have to put back in the same amount of gas. But how can you be sure when the tank is half full to begin with. Why not give your customers a full tank of gas so we can just fill it again. (probably because they want to overcharge for any gas they have to put in). The overall condition of the the truck was decent, but it smelled like cigarettes and had garbage in the ash tray. It says to sweep it out or you'll get a $25 charge but it wasn't swept out clean to begin with. And none of this would have mattered if the guy had been friendly instead of unpleasant to talk to.

They over charged me and service for u haul was unavailable . Had to come back 3 times to reach the guy. Claimed tank wasn't fuel when I just filled it. Made for a very stressful morning.
