Worst experience i have ever had renting a truck from U haul. I rented 2 - 20 ft trucks 5/23/26. First truck was good with the exception they didn't allow correct mileage. This truck had below 1/4 of gas and the app to pick up the truck didn't work and it took over an hour to get the truck. I had to call U haul and a guy had to help my wife to get it checked in and get the keys to get the truck. Worst experience. I also found when i opened the back up water on the floor near the back. i assume there must be a small leak which some of my boxes wet. Also, the mileage allocated to get the truck loaded from my house which was about 24 miles from the location I picked up to WV was not right. I have driven from Winchester VA to CLarksburg many times over the last 25 years and the mountain route with 2 trucks and U haul trailer is not safe late in the evening. I was shocked to get billed for 17 miles over on one truck and 22 miles on the other. i rented 2 trucks and a trailer from U haul on the 23rd and this is what you do. Also, on the first truck i was charged $32 on safe move charge and $48 on the exact same second truck. seems shady.
