On Tuesday Oct. 9, I called the Inman street Uhaul location in Cleveland. I spoke with a gentleman and told him I needed a 26ft. truck reserved for Saturday Oct. 13. He assured me it would be ready at 7am for pickup and entered my name in the system. In the meantime, my family scheduled to drive up from Alabama to help us move and I also hired two movers at an hourly rate for Saturday. We had to vacate the home so that our buyer could move in that evening. When I arrived at the Inman street location and requested the truck I'd reserved, I was told it was not there... No phone call... No voice mail, no text message, no email... even though my name was clearly on the reservation screen. Imagine yourself in my shoes: I'd packed up my whole life and Arrived on time to pick up the truck to find that it wasn't there. Please imagine this. The clerk contacts the Uhaul router, and says there's a 26' truck across town. We head across town to this location (Norris Towing) to find that they do not open for another half hour. We wait around until the driver shows up. I am assuming he was told to show up at the last minute too, as no one seemed to know anything about anything. Anyhow, I go in and sign paperwork and contract already an hour behind at this point. When I start the truck, I see that the 1/4 tank minimum requirement was not observed by the previous driver, and I don't have enough gas to even make it the five miles to my house; so I have to stop and get gas. With the clock ticking, I arrive at the house, the movers and the family is ready to go, but when I raise the door, we were dismayed to see that the floor inside the truck was absolutely filthy. We took pictures and saved them if your company needs proof (they are digitally time-stamped), but I will describe it here: near the cab was caked, red mud on the floor and wall-- a lot of it. Towards the door were piles of yellow saw dust, scattered from wall to wall, where it looks like someone had been cutting pressure-treated wood inside the truck. I'd know that smell anywhere. Dirt and leaves were also strewn about, and the included dolly's wheels were also CAKED in the same red mud which we needed to go in and out of the house with. We had to delay again to go and find a broom and sweep out the truck so that we would not be held accountable for the fee that is apparently levied on careless renters and also to protect our belongings from the filth on the floor. If I had a choice, I would have demanded a refund and returned the truck immediately. But I didn't have a choice, I had to move... Uhaul had me that day, and I didn't have a choice but to accept the sad excuse for service that your company provided. You have cost me time and money. U-Haul website gave problems which resulted in a long wait. Not the fault of the location. Equipment was damaged but still usable. One fender was broken, one was dented. I requested a note on the rental slip to prevent problems at the return location.

Rented a 26 " truck and the called Norris towing about the check engine light. Was told that it always stays on. Also the passenger side low beam headlight was burned out. Was told to drive with Hi beams on. Not up to Par with typical UHaul experience.
