Clean and excellent service!
I had the self check in and he didn't put the key in the box so I had to go in to get it. He didn't wear a mask. The truck was DIRTY! It was NEVER cleaned from the previous user! Hair, dirty seats and floor. This during a PANDEMIC! His excuse he was by himself at 10 am with The place empty! No excuse to rent someone a filthy truck without being cleaned during COVID 19!
Service very impersonal, possibly due to COVID concerns. Truck not checked in at time of return, check in completed later and receipt emailed. Worked well but would have been very frustrating had there been a disagreement about items returned or their condition.
The truck sounded like it was in pretty bad shape - lots of rattling whenever I accelerated. Made me wonder if it was going to survive the trip. The requirement to install the app infuriated me. The representative couldn't be bothered to assist me beyond telling me I could go check out the truck myself from the dashboard... she didn't even explain that the app was required and I had to pry the information out of her. The app is also a crapshoot. It glitches out and logs whatever info it wants to, it fails to upload photos, and it attempts to gather excessive amounts of personal info. I'll just go to Penske next time and avoid the hidden charges and hassle.
No one showed me the truck I was given the keys and just ignored after the keys were handed to me I eased told where the truck was parked I wasn't told the check engine light was on and didn't notice till later I was treated rudely by the lady the I checked in with the other lady was nice. I was made to feel like trash.
Checking out with the app is a little confusing. There was about a ten minute delay where the app was â€œverifyingâ€. When I asked the person inside what that meant, she said they were calling the references I left. 1) why would you wait until the time I'm picking up the U-Haul to verify? And 2) the person I put down as my reference was with me when I picked up the U-Haul and his phone never rang. If no one was in the office to explain, I would have been even more confused than I already was. Also, when I made the reservation online, the only option it gave me was to pick up via app, so I was required to do it that way. I did not appreciate that. Lastly, I didn't like how I was required to check the uhaul back in with the app or else I'd be charged $20. I don't understand why I would be charged extra for you all to do your job.
I have rented from this location before and did not have an issue but this time around I ran into two issues 1) I requested counter service and when I arrived the Rep said that 'Corp' wanted everyone to do check in using the App-I have requested counter service before because it felt safer than going through the path in the App where I stand outside and have to take photos, etc. 2) the Cargo Van smelled like cigarette smoke have an allergy to cigarette smoke and today-I am ill. It was very strong and leaving the windows down did not help. I returned the van and did not use for the full job I had or time I reserved because of that.
Hello, I was asking if $19.95 is all I will pay for renting the van? I was informed by Mary an associate at that location that only $19.95 is all I will pay and nothing else. She was nodding her head that yes only $19.95. Also, while taking my information she asked me to repeat my phone number 6 times and still got it wrong. It took an hour to reserve the van with her. and the next day when I went to pick up the van it took two hours to complete the process. The van was not Full of gas it was on F but about two or three gallons less which I had to pay out of pocket to fill it up before I return it. The van was not clean in the driver seat area. For sure I will never rent a UHaul again. Thanks.
The truck was much easier to drive than I thought it would be.
Everything needs to change. I felt like I was an inconvenience for them. The charges were completely wrong.
The location was good, and very nice in person service. However, Ill never use UHAUL again due to the fact I was there over an hour because your system was done, and had to pay my movers overtime because of this. Your new contact free service is the worst I have seen.
I made the reservation with one location in Cypress and didn't know until I was ready to pick up the truck that it was at another location. Very inconvenient and unappreciated.

Bad customer service
The location was great and the person who helped me was fantastic. Uhaul itself was underwhelming in that the app had a LOT of issues. I made an account, but it couldn't find my order even though I had the confirmation email and so did Community storage. Ended up having to do it the old fashioned way
I asked for a regular dolly and furnature dolly but the truck never had a dolly inside it nor did the service help assistant person give me one or made a refferance about it ..the original assistant helping me went to lunch during the middle of me trying to figured out how to rent the uhaun via the app.. and then abruptly left me and told her coworker to take care of me and the guy just kept working on his computer..i was late for where I needed to be and the whole experience was horrible... when I returned the truck I was too frustrated to ask for the money back that I paid for the dollys but since I now see I was charged $28 for something that would've made moving easier but couldn't because it wasn't given or provided to me ...so yeah the whole thing was bad and I want my money back
Due to Covid-19, they only offered mobile check-in at this location. However, a message from uhaul stated that this was only needed after hours. Seemed very confusing as to which directions to follow.
Mobile app would not allow me to check in for reservation, called 1-800 and she said she couldn't help me but would transfer me to tech support, sat on hold for another 10 minutes and then was disconnected. Tried for over half an hour repeatedly before the mobile app finally proceeded to the next screen for key location. Upon returning the vehicle the mobile app kept restarting whenever I had to take a picture of the cab for the dropoff. Did the same thing for over half an hour (also attempted via google and internet explorer web browsers) before calling 1-800 again. The associate told me (after informing him of everything I had already been through and just wanted to know where I could leave the keys without being charged) told me he couldn't do anything and I'd have to pay another $20 for uhaul to manually check me in even thought the app wasn't working and there was nobody there to assist, and told me the only thing he could do was to leave notes on my account that I called and gave me another number I could call. Unbelievable!
It was a learning curve, using my phone to check in and out, but everyone assisted. I couldn't have asked for better customer service experience.
I did not like using the app. It was not user friendly.
This reservation was made with a pickup time of 10:30 am for Sunday March 22nd. As I made it to the rental facility and tried to complete the online pickup, the system returned a message saying this rental was scheduled to be hand delivered at 1:00 pm when the store opens. As the store was closed and unable to pickup my rental, I left the facility. Later in the morning I got a call from UHaul saying that there has been an error with my reservation and lockbox was not setup for me. I could not go immediately to the facility but close to 1:00 pm. As I tried to online pickup the truck, the system said my reservation was expired. I went into the store in frustration and the employee in charge was very rude saying my reservation was ready. As I proved him it was not, he made another reservation which I was able to use. After that I was able to complete my errands. A frustrating experience with UHaul this time around.
