The U-Haul representative was not there to help me check in. Did not show up. We wanted to get a dolly. They did not have any on hand. I tried checking in and having to download the app and it would not work over and over so we had to speak to a representative of U-Haul on the phone. Check-in took way longer than it should have.

YOUNG KWe picked up the truck at 5:30 pm. First of all there was a mix up with the truck because they couldn’t find the right keys. When we got the truck we drove to our storage unit. We saw that there was a pad lock on the door with a letter code. Unfortunately nobody told us what the code was. We could not open the door to begin our move. We called the number given on the receipt for help. We stayed on the phone with her for about 30 minutes. She gave us 4 different options for possible codes. None of which worked. We then called roadside assistance to try to get someone to come and unlock it. After much back and forth and finally speaking to a manager, they said they would send a technician out to help. They told us that the dispatcher would let us know via text when someone could help. We waited till 7:30 at the storage unit and still no help and nothing could be moved. We ended up going home and telling the dispatcher to change the location since we had already lost 2 hours of moving time. The locksmith finally arrived at 9:45. He was unable to pick the lock. We had to call roadside assistance again to see if they would allow him to cut the lock. They said yes but it took him another hour to cut the lock. Altogether we lost 5 hours of moving time due to your company’s negligence. This was the most unprofessional and negative experience we have encountered with U haul. We would like to be reimbursed for the time that we lost
