Please let the manager know I was charged $80.95 and paid in cash the full amount. Then today when I checked my credit card account I was charged $68.43. I have my receipts for the transactions to prove the credit card transaction should have only been put on hold as the clerk informed me incorrectly that would have happened. Needless to say I am very disappointed with the U-HAUL I did my transaction with. I called several times to speak to a manager to resolve this mistake and keep getting a voice mail on the phone number listed on my receipt. I am very disappointed with the service I received thus far from Colfax Food and Gas (045488) 1895 East Colfax Avenue Denver Colorado 80218 (303)291-8490 please let the manager know I am waiting for the to be corrected.



The service of actually renting a U-Haul was extremely slow. It took me a half hour to actually get the keys to my U-Haul van. The attendant kept helping customers wanting to buy cigarettes and other items at the gas station before finishing my transaction. The location felt unsafe even during the day time. I will not be renting here again.

The rental truck was beat up. Cab and interior of truck had not been cleaned, outside was dirty. Fuel recorded on ticket was 1/8 tank more than was actually in tank. Agent did not take take time to familiarize me with truck, check fuel level or to check truck for damage. I had ordered two dozen pads but only one dozen was available at pickup even though I had called and confirmed everything the morning of the afternoon pickup. Told to go someplace else to get the pads. When turning truck in agent was not willing to take the time to confirm fuel level, mileage or no damage. Very high potential for billing abuse and problems. Will never use this location again. My third uHaul rental in past twelve months from different locations; I am used to uHaul doing much, much better than this.

The communication at the location was terrible and they missed up the charges. They don't care to check anything with customer they just want you to sign and move on! I don't understand the business model here but if the uhaul trusting any location to do the job then that's doesn't help building trust with main business. You can improve experience by verifying locations. Also if this was not a mistake who's responsible for an extra $100 in charge!!!!! I hope this get fixed and I get my charges straight!

I had a 8am reservation made 3 weeks in advance. My truck was not there at 8am. It arrived slightly after 10am. This was disappointing. The staff at this location was helpful given the situation as it didn't appear the local staff had any control of the lateness and he made several calls to get me updates and expedite the process which I appreciated.

The cargo van that I utilizedsmelled of smoke and was overall pretty messy. The attendant was nice and pretty quick for me. It wasn't a terrible experience, but not for someone even remotely expecting a terrific experience in moving their things.

the employee that checked out the van was less than helpful. He didn't check the mileage or give me a receipt-said he would email it. When I didn't receive it within a three hour window, I returned and had to insist on a receipt. My mileage was less than estimated and I didn't want to be overcharged.

This was one of the worst uhaul experiences I've ever had. Actually... it was the worst. Being that it's a gas station and not a uhaul location, it was not set up as functional at all. They didn't have moving pads, the guy working the counter barely spoke audible English and he kept taking other customers in between helping me because there was a long line of impatient people waiting to buy cigarettes and gas. It took me 30 minutes from saying "hi I'm here to pick up a uhaul" to actually getting the keys, and he didn't even pull it around for me so I had to go find the truck. On top of that, there's no where to park the car while you're renting other than ghetto side streets, and the communication was extremely vague because I couldn't understand the guy. Furthermore, he had to call his manager because he had no idea what he was doing and all the information I put in for an early check in had to be discussed again because I don't think he knew how to access that information. I will not be coming back here again, and if I hadn't had good experiences with uhaul otherwise I probably wouldn't be using the company again. This place unfortunately puts a bad name on uhaul and is a terrible renting experience.

Van has check tire light on which didn't bother us since we only drove in town for 10 miles but it would have been a problem if we had needed to dive somewhere on highway further from pickup location.

It took 40 minutes to check out and get the keys to the uhaul. Other people in line were visibly upset that it was taking so long as this business also operates as a gas station too. When I finally got the keys, the uhaul was blocked in by another vehicle and I had to go back in and get issued a different uhaul which took another 15 minutes. The guy was nice and working hard to be helpful but it was just an overall bad experience.

Have all staff who work at the gas station trained in handling uhaul customers. We changed our pick up time for the truck & when I showed up, there was a cashier at the gas station who did not know how to do the transaction so we waited for about 15 minutes until the trained uhaul distributor was able to come & complete our transation

There were drug deals going down in the gas station parking area. Its really cramped and the attendant does not check the truck before he sets you off. I would give negative stars if possible.

There were about 5 of the 15' trucks in this lot and the manager gave me the truck in the furthest corner of the lot, pinned behind a number of other trucks so I had to make a 50 point turn to exit the lot. The outside of the truck was absolutely filthy and covered in dirt when I picked it up. The tank was only left with a 1/4 tank of gas. When I went to return the truck I handed them the key and they said to go park it out back. When I went to park it out back, there were other trucks parked every which way so I walked back in and gave the manager the key and told him this was ridiculous and there was no room to park the truck and I'm not going to wait around for them to rearrange the trucks so that I can park the one I rented. The customer service was absolutely terrible.

I went 27 miles as stated on the contract. I put 1.67 gallons in the truck at the station yet they charged me for 2 more gallons. does the truck get 5 miles to the gallon? this seems extreme to me because they did not want to complete the transaction on the spot.

I did not open the back of the truck until I go to the location where I was going to load my stuff. When I opened the back the dolly was not locked down and did not have plastic strap to show whether it was used or not. There were also open blankets all over the back which both items I did not need or request. And because they were opened I was changed additional for the use. OR the lack of the Uhaul company properly cleaning and inspecting the equipment form the night before. I have called and left a message to the location for a refund and have not heard anything back.
