I was charged 45$ extra for 30 mins past due. This is fraudulent business practice
Rajdeep DThe app did not include instructions for how to access the lock-box to get the key. It literally advises you to "go inside to the counter" to get the key. But at this location, there is no counter, and no Uhaul people working there. So I called Uhaul, and although everyone I spoke to on the phone was very polite and helpful, they were convinced that there was not a code to unlock the lockbox to get the key. I kept telling them that there had to be a code because the lockbox had a lock with four alpha-characters and that there was literally no Uhaul counter (it was just a parking lot). FINALLY after about 20 minutes on the phone in 33 degree temperatures, they found that there was indeed a code, and they gave it to me. BTW, they even tried to call the owner of the truck, but he was unreachable. Also, when dropping off the truck, the app told me to scan the barcode at the lockbox to continue the check-in process. But when I did, it just sent me back to the "scan the barcode" part of the app. There was no way out of that recursive loop. So I hit, "I'm having trouble scanning the barcode" and it takes you to what appears to be an advisory screen telling you to make sure you note the fuel level and don't forget any belongings, but there was no way to close out the rental. All in all, the app was a huge disappointment. I would say it's not that it's difficult to use...under it's current configuration, the app is broken (impossible to use).
John HPick up was a little confusing in terms of navigating the app and having to do everything electronically.
Michael CThere were no dollys in the back of the U-Haul like we had ordered. Also upon returning the U-Haul the app crashed while we were taking pictures. When we reopened the app it said there were no current reservations or past reservations so I was unsure if the return of the U-Haul was processed correctly and we had to call the help line to verify.
