Was scheduled to pick up the van at 9, no key, no key box as it said in the app., called 800 number and they told me to come back at 10 when the store was opened. Very inconvenient

Customer Reviews
It was easy and the clerk was kind to guide us with a solution to our issue.
Very nice customer service
Friendly service. All was ready and in order.
Great experience picking up a 10' truck. Looking forward to renting from B&T Tobacco again.
All improvements digital: Email didn't make it clear & obvious there were other validation checks to be prepared for prior to renting The “Dear Valued Customer†from a noreply email seems generic and careless to me.
Let customer review tablet before asking them to sign the contract for payment.
Online took over an hour to verify information at the site of pick-up. This was quite a slow down on moving day. Information asked for a copy of a lease? Do many people carry their leases or have access away from their homes? Suggestion to speed this process up is to pre-verify as much as possible! The entire process was so overdone. Can't you track an individual by their driver's license? Maybe just get fingerprints.
The location was sketchy, the store owner was rude, and I was charged twice for the uhaul
The uhaul wasn't very clean and seemed to not be sanitized in between customers. I had to sanitize it myself to make sure I was not at risk for COVID through touching the surfaces.
While the truck itself was in decent condition, this was not my original reservation location, or my original time for the reservation. Both the time and the location of the reservation were changed and I was not given proper notification from UHual. Overall I am unsatisfied with UHual's lack of clear communication and the inconvenience and extra cost incurred from having to deal with changes to my reservation. I also had to wait for 15 minutes to pick up the UHual as the store only had one employee and he was helping other customers.
This is where I picked up my Uhaul, the employee of the store was very kind and made the process smooth. However, the location of the store was uncomfortable. My bad experience really stims from the Durham 15-501 Office where I had initial made my reservation. I went to the office to pick my reserved truck up at 2:30pm. When I got there, they told me that I needed to go to a different location. I asked to speak with the manager and they had no manager on site on a Saturday during peak hours. That is b.s., do better Uhaul!
I requested a hand truck and paid for it, but it was not included in the truck.
There was no key drop box.
At first we were assigned a truck that wasn't at the location, then when I hit “cant find truckâ€, we were assigned the same vehicle as another customer who had arrived at the same time. Took half an hour on the phone with representatives to get it sorted out (and the other group did not end up with a truck, even though there were two at the location...). Clearly there's some bug in the system that assigns trucks.
The neighborhood was sketchy, but the employee was good
Customers services was terrible ???? the store guy was rude ???? nextime, I prefer renter budge
I really liked the self-evaluation of the truck through the app. Good job!
I specifically arranged to have an online pickup and when I went to get the truck, there was no key in the designated place. I had to wait while the owner of the location drove there and without any explanation or apology, was simply handed the key from the store itself. What was the point of even doing an online pickup? This whole ordeal set us back for over an hour on an already stressful and time sensitive day. Thanks for nothing.
A/C was broken in the U Haul. Only blew from defrost. Also person at location was rude and not helpful at all. The times they had for pick up were either early in the morning or late at night. Man said they did that on purpose and didn't want to switch my reservation to in person.
Transaction handled very efficiently and accurately by office staff.
B&T Tobacco sign is still on the old location as well, made the store more difficult to find.
The experience was pretty seamless. Cannot think of any major recommendations.
Location was a vape store, and didn't sell any moving supplies like boxes/tape
I did not interact with any at this location. It was only a drop-off site.
