Your app sucks. People at this location are fine. But I dread using the horrible u haul app and will likely rent from another company in the future purely because of how terrible the uhaul app is

I had two separate experiences with U-Haul during my move, and unfortunately, neither went smoothly. The first time, I was unable to return my truck through the app as instructed. I ended up having to call customer service and waited on hold for over 30 minutes just to get assistance with something that should have been a quick and simple return process. For my second rental, I reserved a 10-foot truck for a specific time. When I arrived at the rental location, I was told there were no trucks available for me—even though I had a reservation. Thankfully, the men working at the location were extremely helpful and did what they could to get me a truck. I really appreciated their help, as they were the positive part of the experience. However, I did not receive a truck until an hour after my scheduled reservation time. Moving is already stressful and very time-sensitive, so losing an entire hour meant my move was pushed back and I had to rush to make up for the delay. I understand that issues can happen, but after having problems with two separate rentals, I was disappointed with the overall experience. A reservation should mean that the equipment reserved is actually available at the scheduled time, and the app should make returning a vehicle easier—not result in a 30+ minute customer service call. I hope U-Haul can improve both of these processes so other customers don't experience the same frustrations.
