This location was awful to work with. The business itself was cluttered. the person I interacted with was not easy to communicate with when I came back to return the trailer, the business was closed, although it was during posted business hours when I called the number the same person I interacted with previously told me to leave the trailer when I communicated I was not comfortable disconnecting the trailer. He asked me to return two hours later. I initially agreed, but then realized I had other commitments at that time, so I returned to the business and figured out how to disconnect the trailer. When I disconnected the trailer, I noticed that the pin to my ball hitch was missing. It made me realize that he had incorrectly hooked up the trailer initially by using the loop on the pin as the spot to connect the hook from the trailer. I discovered the hook dragging when I arrived at my initial location to load the trailer, and I hooked it in the correct space, not noticing that my pin was missing because I did not anticipate that he would have done that. The pin was locked in place prior to him connecting the trailer. I feel this was very unprofessional, considering I made sure to return it during posted business hours . He also asked me to leave my credit card number, which made me slightly uncomfortable because I did have it in the system as the card on file to hold the reservation. The U-Haul system was down at the time that I came to pick the trailer up and in previous rentals at other locations, I did not have to write down my credit card number and leave it on a random piece of paper on his very messy desk. I will be watching my credit card statement closely to make sure no one makes additional charges on my card. I will not return to this location and I will not recommend it to other people. Additionally, I do not normally leave reviews on businesses, but I felt you needed to be aware of how unprofessional this location is.

Sabrina BStore opened 15 minutes after pickup time and person said they didn’t even know where the keys where that they didn’t work with U-Haul. Found the keys in a desk drawer and we started the checkout process on the app. It would not let me take pictures or comment in the box. If I typed anything the box turned red and the continue button was grey out. It got worse from there. The truck was filthy. The interior smelled like smoke and was sticky with loose change and candy all over the floor. Already running 45 minutes behind now we leave to get gas because it was left almost on E. When getting gas I look down to see a vape pen and a hitter next to the seat. Now I’m really pissed thinking if I were to get pulled over for some reason the lack of proper inspection by U-Haul on a returned truck just could have got me in a real predicament. Threw that in the garbage at the gas station and finally got on the road. Truck was shaking so bad I thought I had a flat tire. Pulled over and checked. No flat. Tires need balancing. Thankfully shaking went away above 55 or so while on the highway. Got to destination and opened the back to find a bunch of thumb tacks on the floor. Again no one bothered to check the truck before renting it to me or this would have been seen. Finished my trip and returned the truck. Called in multiple times to report this as it was happening for reference and requested credit for the rental. I was told that would happen. We will see how this shakes out. I will take this further if need be. Being given a truck in such shape with drug paraphernalia in it is a rather serious matter.
