Brad at Safeway is very professional, courteous and respectful. He made sure the truck was warmed up for me, and showed me everything I needed to know. I passed 2 uhaul locations to go see Brad at Safeway. Thanks Brad!

I would recommend being able to process the reserved truck from any location! (I reserved online someone else drove the truck)

Location was good, truck was clean. Had transmission problems in the middle of a 6 lane highway in South Chicago. Truck would only rev up but not go anywhere. After I cut everyone off to coast to the shoulder I turned the truck off and on a couple times it drove again so I got off the highway and called roadside assistance who sent me to a mechanic. I had nothing in the truck yet as we were going to get my stuff from storage. The mechanic couldn't find anything wrong because the check engine light turned off but he highly recommended that we switched trucks at the uhaul rental right next door so we waited for them to open. The lady there was absolutely no help and told us to try another uhaul rental location or drive it until it breaks. Our worry was if we loaded it would we get it home. It was a 26 ft truck which apparently is hard to find in Chicago. We were on a tight timeframe so I finished my way to Wisconsin and overdrive would slip out of gear so I drove with overdrive off and it was fine. No more slipping gears or problems other than the fuel mileage but I kept it slow and got our stuff home. I know this stuff happens and I've had great times renting from uhaul but this time was a bad experience.
