The manager Dennis runs one of the best uhaul franchises I have ever worked with. We rent frequently and he keeps the trucks in perfect running condition. So quick to process the agreement and trucks are 100% clean. He really cares. Worth making it a point to rent from him. Zero hassles.

Automatic drop-off; no people involved. Procedure simple, but a bit slow. Made sense, though.

KENNETH JI had no problem with the truck itself. The truck ran good and was easy to drive. The place of rental was not the same place that I arranged the reservation. Yankee Self Storage at 160 Laurel St Greenfield MA was decent and the rental person was polite and helpful. My issue is the hidden fees and additional mileage costs. When I reserved the truck with U-haul in Turners Falls the rate for mileage was quoted was $1.09 per mile plus an environmental fee. When I received the email reservation a few minutes later, the mileage fee jumped to $1.39 cents. When I received my final bill there were also an additional fee of $2.00 state/city vehicle fee. This was an unexpected total fee of $13.10 which was not told to me during my reservation conversation. This is the reason I am unhappy with the U-haul rental. Unexpected fees at the end of the rental is unacceptable. This is the reason I will tell others to look for other rental companies over choosing U-Haul. People don't like to be taken for more money than was quoted. I know the mileage fluctuates so that cannot be an actual quote and isn't a factor, but increasing the quote by 30 cents after excepting a lower milage quote is sleazy and unacceptable from a customers point of view and pocketbook. The truck I rented for $19.95 would have been an excellent value, but being charged more for mileage and have a hidden fee/tax is unsettling. Thank you, Chloe Marchese
