How U-Haul Reviews WorkI scheduled pick up for 10AM. The person working there didn't arrive at the store to open it until 10:15ish. There were multiple customers waiting upon entry and there was only one late staff member which made everything taken even longer The sole purpose for using UHaul was to have access to an appliance dolly, this was also the reason I chose this location. During check in, the employee abruptly stated we don't have any dollys, you can go to another location or not have one. She then proceeded to tell me about how college kids steal them while moving back to IU Bloomington. After telling her nevermind about the dolly she got snippy and said do you just want to cancel the whole transaction. I said no, and proceeded. The employee then stated, I'm not crazy I am diabetic. I believe that she might have thought I thought that she was impaired. I assume the tiny white dog was a service dog.
Jason BI arrived on Monday the 24th at 11:23 am to drop off my rental. Their door was locked but I could see them inside(hours on door show 10am-4pm). I knocked and a lady came to the door. She opened it slightly and asked “what do you need” I asked if they were opened and she said “yes, but we are on a conference call”. I said I needed to drop off my rental and she said just drop it and go. I asked if there were a specific place and she replied no. As I’m dropping it a man came out holding a phone and told me to drop it in another area. They did not close my rental out for until Thursday for some reason. I called multiple times to check as to why but they never answered the phone. I even message in through the app and was told a message would be sent to them to get it closed. I know they run multiple businesses from this location, maybe the U-haul part isn’t that important. This was my worst experience ever dealing with U-haul. I will not return to this location ever. They are too busy doing other things to have customer service.
Dennis PNot where I was originally supposed to drop off. The only reason I even knew to go here is because I CALLED to complain about being charged more than my original quote and to ask for more miles since I had to go out of my way for drop-off. I was told if I had gone to the original place (also out of the way) to drop off I would have been told to go somewhere else when I tried to use the App. Totally unorganized and ridiculous. Then you make me pay for gas to pick up and drop off out of my way. I did not interact with any personnel so cannot rate them on helpfulness.
