We reserved a van, apparently uhaul didn't deliver any to the location as expected. They tried to get is the next size larger, was stuck in a muddy field. Finally ended up with with something much too big for our needs after 40 min delay.

Didn’t have any of the equipment we requested such as furniture dolleys and pads which is pretty standard for moving materials. Also took the employee 20 minutes to come to the desk because she was chatting about non work related subjects

I was not given paperwork timely. Was overcharged for gas and CDW which I had specifically declined with online reservation. Overcharged roughly 30US with fees and taxes. Will not rent from them or UHAUL in future and will report business to BBB

The storage lot needs work. Any rain turns it to mud but a heavy rain, and traffic, makes one of the entrances nearly impassable. There is a sprinkling of gravel but it's basically a grassed lot w/the main traffic part unmaintained dirt. The pickup was poorly handled. After the paperwork was completed I asked if there was someone on the lot to help me get hooked up, I was told there was. When I walked out side I asked another employee the same question and was told yes again. I drove next door to the lot and saw someone walking from trailer/truck to trailer taking pics/scanning something on each one. I waited briefly expecting him to stop and help me out. When he just continued what he was doing and called out to him. I asked if he was going to help me and he told me it was my responsibility to find and hook up the trailer. When I told him it wasn't that it was his he mumbled something and walked off. I called the office and the told the lady who seemed to run the place that there was no one helping me even though she had said there would be. She came over and found the right trailer and had someone come over to help. Now I got their largest cargo trailer and I didn't realize how heavy it was and couldn't lift it by myself. The fella that came over said he would stand on the back because he had a bad shoulder and couldn't lift the tongue. I was almost livid but was running behind because of the wait for them to get to me in the office, and the lack of help, so just manged to get it connected some how. Later I called uhaul and was told that the facility personnel are supposed to connect and disconnect the trailers. That afternoon I called a couple of minutes early to have someone at the lot when I got there. I backed up and I offered to stand on the back and let them do the lifting, a different person this time that was friendly and helpful. So the return was an extremely positive experience. Weighing just the pick up and drop off experience I would have rated it below average. Because of the condition of the lot I had to go w/poor

Filthy office, iffy location & I think we got ripped off in the end, but was ready to get the hell out of there before I saw another roach crawl across the floor. :(

This was a terrible experience. I dropped the truck off within the allocated time but the office was closed so I left the keys in the drop box as discussed. I was surprised to receive an invoice saying that the truck was returned the next morning and had incurred an additional days charge. When I called to point this out I was told that it was a mistake and that they would refund me and issue a new invoice. Two weeks later this still has not happened. Also, the moving dolly I ordered was not available and I was only told when picking up the truck so had no opportunity to make alternative arrangements. During pickup I was given a number for the truck which was not displayed anywhere. I had to walk around the lot trying the key in doors to find my truck. Very bad experience, I won’t be using u-haul again.

I can’t really say it’s this location’s fault specifically. U-Haul traffic sent me here as the drop off and when I arrived they said they could not take it due to space restrictions/inventory level. They asked me to take it to another location. I feel they should have taken the equipment and then did an equipment transfer to the other location instead of inconveniencing the customer. Additionally, I have now dropped the equipment at a location other than I was instructed in my contract.

Was informed that the 4 dozen blankets I rented were not with the truck. The location mentioned it right away but confirmed they didn’t follow up to see where the blankets were. The solution I was given was to drive across town to pick up the moving blankets.

The trailer was a small covered cargo style. Reliable but extremely old....looked like maybe over thirty years old and had been through a severe hail storm along he way.

I have been charged 282 for 3 hours. Because I ended up returning to wrong location but I am new in the US and I had no idea. I called and asked and they said it was okay to return it here. I would really appreciate if the amount cut could be reduced.

I rented furniture pads thru the UHaul regional office. My confirmation email guaranteed that both truck and pads would be available at this location at 8am on 8/4. When I called on 8/3 to confirm that everything would be ready, I was told that pads would not be available. When I called the UHaul regional office to resolve this, I was told that the only way I could get the pads I had reserved, and which had been guaranteed to be at the Shepherd location, would require me to drive 45 minutes to pick them up myself. This was inconvenient and stressful - but I was left with no other choice. I can't tell you how unhappy I am about this. Moving is already stressful. UHaul simply added to that stress.

Not the nicest place but centrally located, have good hours, multiple equipment options and are easy to work with. I've rented there several times and never had an issue with check in/out.
