I checked in online. I called the location uhaul.com assigned as my pick up location, and they did not have the equipment to rent. I looked online, and my pick up location had changed, nobody called me. I checked in when I got to my pick up location again. Redundancy #1. The individual responsible for checking out the trailer I was renting left as soon as I arrived to pick up a necessary wire so that the trailer lights would function. The trailer pulled fine. I called the drop off location (phone call recorded) on sunday February 25, 2018 at 1:57pm to make sure that i would be able to drop off by 3:00pm as stated in the contract. The drop off location was already closed. I called uhaul customer service (phone call recorded) to ask if I should still drop off the trailer even though nobody would be at the location. Uhaul customer service advised that I should wait until the following morning when the business opened, and expressly stated that a credit had been added to my account and that I would not be charged for an extra day. The check in was effortless. An hour after check in I received my receipt and I had been charged for an extra day of rental, and an extra day of insurance. Redundancy #2. I then called customer service who promised to issue a credit to my card at some future unknown date. I was not, and I am not pleased , or impressed. My feeling is that a system credit should be first day training, and routine during a day of business.
