The truck was newer than others I have rented in the past, it was very clean. The gentleman who helped me when I picked up the truck was very friend and did a great job of getting me set up with the truck rental. He provided me with all of the necessary information. However, when returning the truck, another gentleman was at the desk and was much less friendly and welcoming to say the least. I parked the truck in front of the gate because next to the gate entrance said " do not park" with diagonal lines across the pavement, so I followed the directions and did not park there, or anywhere else because it is a big trucks and I would be in the way of people trying to get in or out. When I entered the lobby area, the employee was helping another couple, he halted his conversation with them without excusing himself from their conversation and stood up and said to me without greeting me " you need to move that truck, you can't park there, now people can't get in the gate". I replied "Well I didn't want to park where it said do not park, sorry about that." He said "well you need to move it to the side". I was confused by where he meant, I asked if he meant by the do not park area and he spoke very condescending and said "move it to the side of the gate". I told him "Sorry, I was just following the directions, because that's what you're supposed to do right?" I moved the truck and when I re-entered the lobby he again abruptly interrupted his conversation with the couple in front of me and told me " ok give me the keys, I'll email you a receipt " I asked if I would receive the receipt the same day and he seemed to get annoyed and said " uh yeah after I help these people unless more people come in." No have a good day, have a good one etc. Much of the conversation was "it's not what you say it's how you say it" he had an attitude and seemed agitated during my entire engagement with him. I oversee a customer service staff of over 50 people for a major company in King of Prussia and if any of my employees treated a customer so brashly, without a greeting, a goodbye and general politeness, I would want to know about it, which is why I took the time to write this review. Location did not provide a walkdown of the truck. Additionally storage portion of the truck had debris so when I got home I needed to clean the truck prior to loading my belongings. Later learned the hard way that the storage cabin of the truck had a leak and a number of my boxes were wet (rained overnight while truck was parked with items and during the drive).

Truck's odometer was set to km instead of miles so the I was overcharged for using extra miles during the move when in fact I was under if you convert from miles to kilometers. Did not explain that the truck needed to be returned by certain time. I was charged for an extra day.

Please have a manager call if you want the full details vs what I’m willing to take the time to type. Got to the location to do a mobile pick up. All trucks are locked behind a gate and you have to go into the store (which I didn’t learn until after spending 10 minutes trying to do it online like it said to). I requested 36 moving pads, 2 furniture Dolly’s and an appliance dolly. They didn’t have anything pulled or ready for me. After 20 minutes of scrambling for pads they only had 23 (1 was wet). 3 more of which we found out after getting home were also wet. That left me with only 20 out of the 36 I ordered. They only had one furniture dolly which ended being useless to us as I needed the 2 at the same time. When returning the truck, the gas light came on as I was 5 minutes from drop off. Referencing the paper work as all the decals say to do, it said I needed 20 gallons to return to the half way point (level at pick up). I put in exactly 20 gallons and it filled the tank to 3/4 of a tank. Your guide lies, and I want my $4.25 per gallon back that you would have charged me if I was under. That’s not just a little bit over. Upon dropping off the truck, I told the woman at the desk about the additional wet pads we found. She promised me she would take them off and make sure I was charged correctly. I just got my receipt and I was charged $20 for 24 pads. I didn’t even receive all 24, only had 20 to use (which led to addition driving trips). So at $.0833 per pad, I should have been charged $16.66 for pads and by no means the full cost of 2 dozen. I’m extremely unhappy and this probably will be the reason I never use Uhaul personal or Corporate again.

It is Sunday after the Friday i returned a uhaul back to life storage in king of Prussia where at 9am I attempted to pick up a enclosed uhaul truck which when I inspected was full of water (3to 6 inches deep) and leaking from top of truck. I took it out of desperation since I was under a timeline not before I borrowed a mop and mopped water out then was given 12 blankets to soak up water. I atttped to contact cust Serv after holding on the phone for 30 minutes then only to be connected to three parties then disconnected. Never have I witnessed a majororgsnization that passed the buck and would not not charge me for the rental ..absurd.

This is the second time that I used the on-line reservation system and both times my rental was moved without any notification to me. I wasted several hours trying to find out where to pick up the truck. I reserved the truck from Knox Auto Repair and the reservation was moved to Life Storage. I will most likely not use U-Haul in the future since this appears to be a systematic issue since it has happened multiple times.
