They opened 10 minutes late leaving me waiting. I had to call to confirm I was at the right location. They I was directed to a location 5 minutes away to retrieve the U-Haul, only to find out that it wasn't at the location I was directed to. There was a discrepancy on the contract with respect to the gas amount at pickup. It was off by 1/4 tank. The manager was gracious and even offered his discount gas card as compensation, however the van I rented was lined with dirt, which I assume was from the previous renter and was not cleaned prior to my rental.Dennis S.

1) park the vehicles at the actual location. I turned up and there were no trucks there. Location not yet open. I had to call uhaul who told me I had to drive down the street and go behind an outlet mall. When I tried to check in via app, I could not because I was at the wrong location. I had to drive back to the storefront to get the key. Then back across the street to get the van 2) The fuel tank was only half full. 3) I was 45min late in returning the van because it took me that much extar time to pick up (see #1). 15min prior to the scheduled drop off time, I got a call asking what time I would be there. I told them my ETA and that I was driving. I received 3 more phone calls asking where I was over the next hour before arriving.JOHN PARKER B.
1) The trucks are not stored at the address on the website. 2) I was supposed to get the keys from a lockbox, but was never provided with the code for the lockbox. 3) The truck was provided to me with less than a full tank of gas. 4) The instructions (to return the truck) on the App are not consistent with what the rental manager required. 5) The rental manager threatened to charge an additional $20 if I did not return the truck to a location that was different than what the App said to do. 6) I rented (via online) the truck starting at 8am on Saturday. I was not able to pick up the truck (since I did not have the lockbox code) until 930am on Saturday. 7) The rental manager showed up to work late. 8) The rental manager, when I showed up to return the truck, was extremely rude to me and my wife. 9) When I got to the rental address provided by the app on Saturday morning, there were 3 other renters who were in the same quandry I was. No one was there to help us. There were no trucks in site. We didn't know where the trucks were. We did not have codes to the lockboxs containing the keys to the trucks. 10) The back of the truck contained approximately 20 used packing blankets that I did not request or order. The key pick up/drop off and truck pick up are almost a mile apart. I had to just drop the truck where I picked it up because that's where I left my vehicle. The problem with that is that the app only lets you return to the ace vacuum store so I had to drive the key over to a different location. THEN go through the online return process which asks for a bunch of photos of the van. But you can't take photos of the van because it's a mile away and you already dropped the key off. System is messed up. I was a half hour late to the job because I had to go back and fourth to find the truck, pick up the key, then go back to the truckMatthew R.
I had to drive remotely to get the trailer. As a first timer I asked for help to hook up the trailer to vehicle and was told that the store charges for this assist with the hook up. I went ahead and installed it myself and came to the store, were I was helped to hook up correctly luckily I felt safer having had someone look at it my hook up.Abdel-Halim M K.
I was directed to drop off the trailer at an off site parking lot about a mile away from Ace Vacuums. I requested a written receipt as proof that I had delivered the trailer, but the person I spoke to refused to provide a receipt. I felt uncomfortable because if a third party had taken the trailer from the unsecured lot where I left it, I would not have been able to prove that I had turned it in. My first experience was easy and worked out well. The second experience was not. I reserved a truck to pick up at 9am. Was told that I would get a code to enter the lock box to get my key. The store would not open until 10am. I called to get VM... I waited until 1015am and no one showed up. At this point the need for the truck expired because my window of helped had closed. When I received a call from the store as a missed call, the rep "calls me Big Brother" acted as if I was a new customer, yet I had rented a van only 3 days before from him. I was not happy and was not polite to him but he kept calling me "Big Brother" WTF. I even paid the $20 the day I booked the reservation.RONALD EUGENE E.
I rented from Ace vacuums in leesburg Virginia and I was very displeased with the quality of service I received. I was charged for dropping the truck off in the wrong location, despite the email with drop off instructions telling me to drop off there. I was charged for leaving one piece of rope in the back of the truck, despite it already being a mess when I received it. The gentleman in charge also was very difficult to work with and was late opening the store and it took an hour for me to leave with my truck. All in all I would never recommend this person to anyone even if he was cheaper, which he is not.GARRETT EVAN M.
It was a horrible experience to say the least.. the location wasn't open on time, I waited 20 minutes before I left. I had movers scheduled that day. I called several times to this location and to the others and left messages with no return call back. After an hour and a half they finally answered. I went back to the location and was spoken to extremely rudely. The person there didn't apologize at all for his tardiness and his behavior not even offered any discount because of their error. I dropped off after hours using the Uhaul mobile app. While the return process through the mobile app said drop off at 300 Fort Evans Rd, Ace vacuum had a hand written note on key drop off box with instructions to drop off at a different location or be charged and after hours cleaning fee ($20). If I'd followed the mobile app instructions I would have been charged this fee :-(. Fortunately I walked to Ace Vacuum's front door and happened to see their hand written note. Be aware of this when dropping off at this location.Donald Y.
This location does not offer pickup from your app. You must go into the shop and do a standard rental. The vehicles are parked about 1/4 mile away from the location and you must walk there from the location after getting your keys. This also restricts your ability to use the app to return the vehicle since the phone must be at the location, while you take a picture of the odometer after you return it. Don't try to return the vehicle after hours. The keys don't fit in the key drop and they don't offer a secure place to leave keys. The owner told me that I was expected to go to Home Depot next door and buy disinfectant to clean the car before I drove it if I was concerned about COVID since Uhaul doesn't provide him cleaner to disinfect the vehicle like Penske does. Truck was not at the sight, when I got to where the truck was being stored it was covered in snow and I that I had to clean off myself. The truck was also plowed into a spot that took 15 minutes to get out of. The ice of the roof of the truck was about an inch thick and I was scared it would fall off the truck.
