GREGORY KThey did hurry the rental to us without being swept out yet, no problem for us. All good. In the end we were charged $13 because the gas measured, arguably, a micro smidgen below the half full point that they issued the truck to us. I filled it to half before returning the truck. We were also charged extra mileage fees after the new girl on the phone directed us to the wrong storage facility, a move that cost an extra 4 miles worth of driving that translated into another $17. Our arguments were met with “sorry, we have to charge you. We wouldn’t want to short the next renter.” That doesn’t even make sense. I don’t know if it’s a typical business practice to do this to out of towners or it’s a daily practice they use for everybody, but it’s petty and small. We won’t be renting here ever again, as a result. I have noticed dealers in surrounding cities that I imagine practice a more ethical business model.
