This rental was extremely poor. The girl at Town center Hardware was excellent and very helpful. From there it was a fiasco gone horrible wrong. Town Center had rented all of their 5x8 trailers and lady told me that dispatch would call me with a pickup location. Waited 45 minutes and they never called. Called Town Center again and she called again. This time Josh did call back and told me I could pickup trailer at power zone on Sat. I called to make sure that I could and they told me that they didn't even have a 5x8 and that they weren't even going to be open on Saturday. What if I had waited to check on trailer. What kind of service is this anyway? I called Josh back and he wasn't the least concerned over his mistakes. He then told me I could pick up a 12 x 8 at no extra charge in Salem. I told him I couldn't pull a 12 x 8. He then found me a 5x8 at Papa's hardware. You just cannot imagine the stress and frustration, that all of this caused me. I can only imagine how U-Haul can survive with service like this. Extremely disappointing.

You really need to fix your gas tank, I spent $30 on two trips with your faulty gas guage, I am very upset! I am going to post this online, I tried to call there two times and waited for someone to answer for longest time to no avail, very bad experience!

I received a gas mileage paper with a gas refill guide/scale and it gave the appropriate amount of gallons I would have to put the the correct amount of gallons in the truck to put it back to what I started with. I was told 3/4 of a tank but it was at half a tank. I didn't really think much about it but when I turned it in, I had to leave and put $25 more in the tank after explaining to the woman in the Dublin drop spot that I put it back to half. She said I would be charged 3 times the normal had price on my debit card if I refused to put it up to 3/4 tank. I should be reimbursed for the extra$25 because I was not lying about this! Moving is extremely expensive and I feel as if I was treated like a liar and I had 2 other people with me that knew I was telling the truth.

The location is open 7 days a week. No problems with the location at all. It's nice to do business with a location that doesn't have a mobile phone stuck to their nose. However U Haul Company has disconnected from a great portion of the market. I just wanted a trailer for a few hours and U haul wants me to go to my mobile phone and accept equipment condition and do a self return wasting my time. A great portion of the market cares nothing about spending hours with a mobile phone stuck to their nose. Lucky for me I rented from a location that attends to the customer on a personal level. U Haul's mobile agenda started three years ago and still doesn't work consistently. I know I was a dealer for 12 years and experienced this mobile evolution first hand. It seems to be the biggest joke ever that isn't a bit funny.

The location doesn't open until 11am on Sundays. U-haul website allowed me to make an appointment at 10am and implied that I could self check-in to obtain the key. This was not the case. The vendor came in - just for me. Which was great. HOWEVER, it was not fair to the vendor. I would have been satisfied to come in at 11am if I'd known.

At the dealer. Inputting info took way too long and cumbersome. Three Tryes entering all info the system to rent the equipment be had. Even had to call to release equipment.

Actually not the place I reserved to pickup our Uhaul. They changed my reservation without notifying me. Not sure what they don't understand about the word reservation. Made the start of our move very stressful. When trying to find out what happened I got transferred 8 different time and ended up in the wrong department each time. Thankfully one customer service rep stayed on the line to see where the calls were going wrong and it wasn't just me it happened to her when she tried. I wish I'd gotten her name she was the only one that helped.

This location did not originally pull up on my internet search but i refuse to use the only one that did in Woodlawn VA. I had to go off of the uhaul site to find another location, however, as no amount of searching on yours pulled any other location. I think it is biased to promote one of your locations over another and it should be Uhaul policy to advertise all locations in an area equally, not just one. It is also good business to give choices to customers. If i had not found another location, i would have found another trailer provider entirely.

When I reserved the truck, I was led to believe the truck was available in Woodlawn, VA. The night before pickup, I was notified the truck was actually available in Max Meadows, VA. That bait and switch added approximately 40 charged miles, resulting in approximately $48 USD additional. In my view, Uhaul should either reimburse the $48 or reduce the mileage charge from $1.19 to $.79. Otherwise, I'm done with Uhaul, and I will socialize this experience. Contract ID: 23992813. Always room for improvement, but cannot think of any, for this location, at current time. The hardware store owner/Uhaul renter, was very courteous. People like him, they just don't make 'em like him, anymore. Good fella.
