Every uhaul location threatens to charge an absorbent amount for not returning with exact amount of gas. $30 charge plus 3-something per gallon to refill. I returned it with more gas! You should deduct the same 3-something per gallon of gas I gave you. Seriously.

Rent a road Wednesday to make a move, the truck had a huge hole in the ceiling and I wet the mattresses, sofa and the rest of things. No one became responsible for the things that were damaged

9:00am - After completing the paperwork I was told where the truck was and then I was on my own. No one reviewed anything with me about the truck. The truck would not start. The battery was dead. I returned to the office to tell the rep, but she had locked the door so she could "do something in the back". I had to wait outside 15 mins for her to return and get another truck. The second truck was filthy - trash on the floor, dirty, greasy cup holders, etc. I stopped at the first store to get cleansing wipes to clean the areas I would be touching. 4:00 - I returned the truck and went to the office to complete the transaction. Again the door was locked. I called the number on the front door. After being on hold for awhile the line transferred to a call center. I told the rep what was going on. She was going to refer me to another drop off location, but I told her I could not go to another location because my car was at this location. Again, I was put on hold while they tried to locate the rep working this location. I waited outside about 15 mins before she returned. She was complaining that she had been "running all day" and "had no lunch break' and nothing to eat. Well, I was pretty tired myself after moving all day and having nothing to eat either, but I said nothing. Just completed the transaction and left. In my opinion, you should disassociate Uhaul from the Ives Dairy location - terrible quality and service To close my comments on a positive note - Next time I will use the Uhaul on 163rd street. I have been a customer there several times and you have a wonderful crew there that is always accommodating and the trucks are well maintained and clean. The only reason I did not go there was because Ives Dairy was closer. Next time I will go the extra distance for far better service.

2 things i would highly recommend mentioning to the customer to avoid any frustration and improve communication!!!! 1. Be sure to PULL the emergency brake to allow the truck to drive 2. The gas meter would not move while pumping. So i pumped nearly $30!!!! then when i started the truck it went to FULL and finally moved. HUGE disappointment. Especially when the clerk didn't care at all when i tried to mention it. Just kept yelling how her device wasn't working properly.
