My most recent experience with U-Haul remains one of the worst professional rental arrangements I have ever experienced and the response to my frustration was not only inadequate, but in violation of your own policy. I was forced to drive over 50 miles OFF COURSE to pick up a rental truck I had booked over one month in advance. Because of this last minute change, I was late to the actual moving site (painters were on-site and waiting to get started) and now face LOSING the security deposit from my daughter's apartment. Why would U-Haul accept a reservation and take my credit card if it has no intention of keeping it? Promises were made by four different U-Haul employees as I got kicked around the phone tree (Yes, Moses, Devona, Karen and Ashley...I took very detailed notes about our interactions which include direct quotes, voice recordings and time stamps) and only one promise was delivered. Ashley Underwood, as the director for your region, I am still waiting for your follow up phone call which U-Haul says you MUST MAKE within 72 hours of the initial complaint. It has been 5 days. The greatest insult? Dropping the U-Haul off at 2:08pm (I received confirmation from the Chapel Hill drop off location that I had until 3:00pm) and STILL being charged an extra day. Every step of the way, U-Haul made between 1 and 3 mistakes. Every step. This was a disastrous business arrangement and the only acceptable solution is a full refund and an apology froma supervisor.

Brian CThe drop of in Virginia was terrible I stopped going in and they said I could drop the trailer I drove back 30 mins after dropping off my sons stuff then she said I couldn’t drop it because she thought I was local then she said the owner wasn’t taking any more trailers I call the 800 number for U-Haul and they took care of it
