The online site showed an open trailer. I was told u haul had no open trailers other than motorcycle. Closed top worked though and all was good.

So I pick up a truck at 10 am (it takes an an hour to load) and I drive 1 1/2- 2 hours (depending on traffic) to my destination to unload (another hour, maybe..it was less) and I'm done with it and it sits until overnight because it's not due back until 10 AM the next day. So I pay for 2 days and it has to be turned in within 24 hours...let me try to see the logic in that...hmmm I'm not seeing it. So did it set at the drop off location from 9 AM on 9 Oct until 10 AM on the 10th or did it get rented out the same day I returned it and you doubled your money..Who's responsible for any damage after I drop it off a day early as told and it supposedly sits there or is rented... Instead of it being ready and waiting for someone else to rent its sitting in my driveway waiting to be turned in in the morning. Then I get an email telling me to sign a form or call you for assistance and you'll change another $20 00, seriously! I contacted customer service about this and got the run around by Heather, who basically told me too bad, so sad. Next time you are going to answer a question please make sure it makes sense. I'm a retired vet that is on a limited income and I don't appreciate being taking for a ride with your extra charges for NO reason

I rented a trailer and was charged an extra day although I only had it for 5 hours. Upon checkout I informed the rep that I would be returning the trailer to the storage facility near my home and I asked if I need to provide the name and address as I could easily look it up on my phone and provide the information and he said he did not need it, and all I needed to do was call that facility I was returning it to prior to drop off and everything would be good. That is exactly what I did and I was charged and extra day. I called Uhaul and they they informed me that the exact location needed to be on the contract. I asked the rep if he needed to know where I was returning specifically and HE told me don't worry about that, I don't need to know just call the location you're retiring it to before drop-off. So I don't understand why I'm being charged for doing what the Uhaul rep communicated to me.
