The U-Haul app first told us to find the truck, so we went to an auxiliary lot, but then the keys were at the original location so we had to drive back there. Better communication from U-HAUL would have been great. Additionally, the truck’s gas tank was under 1/4 full, the “check engine” light was illuminated, and we returned it with more gas than we received. Overall, a disappointing experience, and we probably won’t be using U-Haul again unless the price is lower and the truck is guaranteed to have a full gas tank.

I was disappointed in the inconsistency of information throughout the process. When I made the reservation, the booking platform provided one set of numbers, which did not match what came up at pick up and payment, and further did not match the final numbers upon return and settling of the account. This would be a huge deterrent for some people, so I just wanted to mention it. I think it is more of a system issue than something within the control of the individual location we patronized.
Rod Mwe used self-return as the office was not open therefore we cannot comment on whether the location was clean and inviting and personnel helpful. You should have a not applicable option. I was pleased that the location was easily accessible and the parking lot was large enough to turn around safely and take the pictures of the vehicle.
James REverything was smooth. It was a bit off not to have the trailers at the u-haul location. It was clear on where to go but not clear if someone was there or if it was just video as I got a call to see if everything was okay. just provide info on who is at the location or if it is monitored by video
Stephen SDaniel, the employee at the pick-up location was helpful and efficient. One improvement would be to have the rental vehicle on site and not somewhere else and expect the customer to retrieve the rental from there. Of all the rentals I have rented over the years and in different countries, I’ve always received the rental vehicle with a full tank of gas. However, this rental vehicle had only half a tank at pick-up. An inconvenience to me.
