My pick up location was switched to this location last minute. I wanted to pick up from an actual Uhaul store to be shown how to use the vehicle trailer. Instead I was sent to this location in the ghetto, rushed, and was left to figure it out myself. Not very safe at all!

I hesitate to downgrade this specific location because of a systemic problem with U-Haul. The place was dirty, but it was convenient to the freeway and the guy checking me in was very nice and competent. The main problem was that it was the third place I went to to attempt to return the trailer. The first was no longer open. The second wouldn’t accept the trailer because they no longer had any parking space for it. The reservation listed a return location on King St. that was optional but was right in downtown Charleston. We tried two places in Mt. Pleasant and ended up dropping off at the Dorchester Road location in .north Charleston. It was much more of a hassle than it should have been.

Picking up my equipment at this location was unacceptable. I reserved this trailer weeks ago and when I arrived there was no trailer. It took about 15 minutes just to talk to someone to find this out. The representative found one nearby so I left and went to another location to pick it up. When I arrived at the new location I was hesitant to even get out of my vehicle as I was concerned for my safety. Had I known previously where this was located I would never have gone there. The representative could not locate any of the information I had previously entered online and got annoyed when I didn't know the exact street address of my drop off location (even though I gave him the street, city and state) He said it wasn't in the system and I would have to provide it in order to continue. I had to look it up myself as he sat in front of his computer. In the future I will look for alternatives to u-haul due to this one very unsatisfactory transaction.

Bad wipers and key inoperable on driver side door. Either nobody answered when calling customer service or it took 45+ mn and emergency directory to get a response.

Even though there was a great deal of other activity, gas, groceries, lottery tickets, I was treated with great respect and courtesy. I would rent again from Cheap Way #10.

The customer service representative was on the phone and said leave the keys and contract i'll email you a receipt. I thought that was sort of odd, but didn't question it. I received the email a few hours later and to my surprise they charged me $17 for gas. I actually put more gas in the truck than it needed but only have the receipt to show that I actually gassed the truck back up. Had the customer service rep took the time to return the truck while I was there, we could have verified it together. I feel this was a dishonest act on behalf of Cheap way #10....

First the owner stated I came in before 9 am. No it was exactly 9 am when I picked up the trailer. I am a 56 year old single woman. I had to drop off the trailer at 9 am. The gentleman at the store told me I had to wait for the owner to come in at 10. Thank goodness two gentlemen were kind to assist me in untrailering from my truck. Will never use this location and would never recommend.

The gentleman was very helpful and nice. He noted the account accordingly due to a gas discrepancy on our contract we were very pleased with how he handled everything as we were standing right there. He opened the back of the truck and looked in it, he started the truck to check the gas and then he even parked the truck for us. His customer service was excellent. The only thing we are a bit confused about is to why we are being charged a $25 clean up fee plus tax. Can you please verify this. It seems if something was left in the truck when the gentleman opened the back of the truck he would have said something to us at that time. Thank you.

People were friendly and courteous but level of service checking unit out was lacking. Lights did not work properly and the unit leaked. If I wanted an open top trailer that's what I would have rented. Furniture got soaked as we drove through several days of rain. What can we do about that? Some of the items were damaged as a result. When I returned the unit, I told the agent checking us in that the unit leaked and he just shrugged his shoulders, like that was just my tough luck. Not very satisfied.

I did the overnight pick up but since it was a gas station I had to go inside for the keys where the clerk would not give me the keys until seven, kinda defeats the overnight purpose

When I placed my order for my rental, I was quoted a price. Then when I arrived, the type of rental I needed wasn’t available and the guy assisting me told me he only had the bigger truck and there was a price difference. He didn’t offer to discount it because of the inconvenience or anything. It was like welp are you going to pay it or no? And then when I had to go and pull the truck out of the parking spot they were so close together I had to squeeze in and try not to hit another truck when pulling out. It was just a bad experience and I won’t order from that location again.

I had the worst experience with the UHaul self service app. I would NOT recommend using this app to pick up your Uhaul. You are better off picking up a Uhaul during normal business hours. This app kept freezing when we tried to upload the pictures it asked us to take before proceeding to get the keys. On top of that our Uhaul was blocked in with another truck. Returning the truck using the app was a nightmare because it would not allow us to return the Uhaul until we took a picture of the odometer, which we took 3 times and got kicked out of the app. We had to call customer service, and on top of that got charged a fee for returning the truck late! How does this makes sense. Although our issues were resolved, just do not use the app. Hope this helps!

I had a very poor experience with Uhaul this time around. I am a young woman trying to move myself and Uhaul put me in a very challenging position. They did not realize until I was at my assigned location that they did not have the equipment that had been reserved for me. After a time consuming process they sent me to a different location rather far away. All the while I am losing out on a large amount of money because my movers were at my house charging me by th me hour waiting. Overall I was very disappointed that Uhaul did not uphold their value of a reservation.

The place for the drop off was nasty and very uninviting. The man told me that i had to mop the truck out as well as cleaning it. It was clean but moping it I NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING!!!!??????and he tack on $25 for it. I've always use Uhaul for all my moving experience but if now I have to mop it NOPE I WON'T USE THEM AGAIN.....

The entire experience with U-Haul was terrible. They confirmed a pick up location that had no idea what we were doing there. They sent us to a second location and after a thirty minute wait was told we had to drive to a third location where hardly no one spoke English. Miserable experience to simply pick up a 6x12 trailer. Customer service has been no help and in fact very rude abrupt and short with every contact.
