when i went for after-hours app pickup it wasn't clear how to begin the process. I didn't even realize i needed an app at first. I tried to call the franchise, but it seemed to go to voicemail. I thought i was not going to be able to get the truck that night and was getting worried. Calling the uhaul number rather than the franchise got me a real person on the phone and was better. I think it could be more clear that for after-hours phone assistance you should call the 'corporate' number rather than the franchise. Maybe a specific 'After-Hours Phone#" would help.

Madison EThis UHaul location is at the dead end of the street and has a sign that says to stay to right of invisible cones because city water workers have the right to do their jobs and apparently the UHaul workers simultaneously need a 3 hour lunch break. Since we arrived in the lunch window, I never saw the interior of the building. The drop off lot alley goes around the building where you abruptly see a fence that belongs to said city utility. So you have the option of backing up the trailer around a tight corner while staying to the correct side of the invisible cones or unhooking the trailer and physically pushing it up hill into a suitable spot. I chose a hybrid version by backing up 1/2 way around the corner to a place where the incline into a suitable spot was less formidable. Of course, since I am approaching 70 and typically walk with a walker or cane and my wife stands at less than 5 feet, pushing a 900 pound trailer without an incline is formidable. But , strangely, we didn’t want to wait nearly 3 hours for assistance, so we pushed the trailer up a lesser incline without too much of a desire to swear profusely. We lacked the breath to do so anyway.
