Local manager (actually very smart and helpful) quoted $.99/mile. I drove 39 miles. Bill at checkout was $50 and change. No business should secretly overcharge….and fail to communicate pricing to local staff that ultimately have to deal with very confused and unhappy customers. (Really, what kind of cool scam does U Haul have here?) Let me guess, Private Equity purchased U Haul and decided to find “interesting” new ways to enjoy profiteering!

It took forever to pick it up and return it and I’m pretty sure I was overcharged
Lisa CThis was likely the worse customer experience I have had (in general in the last 10-15 miniutes 1) The van had no gas and they would not fill it. The only way I could have the van was to put gas in ti. 2) I was not repaid for the gas that I put in but did not use 3) The customer service folks refused to answer direct questions about the rental timing etc. and their understanding of the rental process 4) they were very inexperienced in this process 5) software/wifi that works so the wait time (20 min?) is reduced would be quite useful 6) the ability to put gas in van without being in a water puddle
Michael HI was charged for a dolly that I did not request or have access too, however no matter what they did, it could jot be removed.
James WI was asked to switch pick up locations. I did not give any problems with the change,l. The location was at a gas station. The process to get the vehicle took longer than expected. I was able to a the vehicle of my choice. I was over charge for furniture pads which I did purchased in my original contact. The return process wens smoother.
