I was sent the wrong location twice in confirmation emails. Upon arriving to the location on the first e-mail, I was told the truck wasn't there, the person running the location made a call to find out where I should go. I was then given a different address with a new confirmation e-mail. Upon arriving at the second location, I was told the truck wasn't there. I then had the woman at that location call the number of the location they looked up on the computer to make sure it was there. The woman who made the call seemed unsympathetic and condescending. (On the phone, I was given the actual location, but I was send a different one in the first email. The woman at the office seemed to think I should have know which was correct and blamed me for not knowing. There's no reason I could have known. I was told the email would have the address and I counted on it being correct.) I was told on the phone, when I first made the reservation, that my overall cost would only be 29.99 plus gas money. When I, finally, got to the correct location to pick up the truck, I was told the cost was $400+ before gas. I was, also, not told about $100 deposit on the phone. I found this experience unacceptable and have no intention of ever using Uhaul again. Nor will I recommend it. There is a significant lack of organization and competence within the organization. After mentioning this to other friends and family, they started recounting similar stories. This issue needs to be fixed. I had a five hour drive ahead of me and had to meet the landlord to get the keys. Because of the mixup with the truck, I was two hours late getting there. I will, literally, use any other service other than Uhaul the next time I move.

We keep getting charged for gas after we have already filled the truck. We only have this problem at the 318655 Grey Road 1, RR #2 Owen Sound location. NEVER using THAT location again!!!

I ordered a 26' truck and a 20' truck I was told the day before that the 26' truck was not available. I had to travel to 2 locations to pick up the two 20' trucks as well as a 6x12 trailer. Initially they told me I had to pay for the trailer but they would compensate me via extra mileage on the trucks. It was a disaster dealing with UHual and would not recommend your business to anyone

This does not apply to the location but more to the condition of the vehicle. The truck I rented shook very bad to the point that I should have taken it back but I needed it and had to use it.The power steering pump was whining on every turn and when I had it loaded up the brakes /were making noise I believe through the power steering pump as well ,which is probably because of an issue with the hydro boost ,which with my bus licence I should have probably refused to drive this vehicle , but again I needed it. It was a scary vehicle and I drive big vehicles regularly.2nd complaint is changing my pickup location to one a half an hour away from the original location especially after knowing im not dropping back off at the location ,so I have no way to get my vehicle from the owen sound location. big inconvenience and cost for me money for gas for someone elses vehicle as well as driving the uhaul an extra half of an hour before I can even start loading. Not much compation from the girl I spoke with to confirm. bottom line please do more inspections for safe vehicles and don't change peoples locations as they make a plan to pick up there ,,,That's why we reserve a vehicle,,To make sure its there.

Location of drop off address did not match the address on the email, lot was not really well clean from snow making it more difficult to manoeuvre with trailer as well as no body was working at the drop off location

put snow tires on your vehicles. The location where I picked up my parcel did not have much snow in it but the van tires just spun . I had to be towed out of the yard because there was no traction. Also, your 20th Street location in Owen Sound - I stopped there first as it is closr to me. The office was locked with a hand written sin in the window "in back yard. Back in 10 minutes" We waited 20 minutes. The back yard was locked - no way to walk out and talk to this person. We called the phone umber only to find out that this woman had closed the office for the entire day - at 1:00p.m. If it had been Christmas eve I would've understood. The least she could've done was leave a sign in her window that she was closed for the rest of the day and saved us 30 minutes of valuable travel time that we needed.
