This isn't just about this location in particular (although, the staff here did nothing but give me a key to the truck and no other info or papers). I originally booked a truck in Ballwin, a mile from my new home. I planned moving help to unload my unit 30 minutes after my scheduled pickup time. I showed up to U-Haul 15 minutes into my pickup window, and they told me the truck wasn't there, that they "tried to contact who had it" but they weren't answering, and they "hoped it would show up before I did." It didn't. What baffled me is that no one called ME to let me know there might be no truck. They eventually found me a truck at this location, which was 30 minutes away. This completely threw off our entire schedule and left my movers waiting for an extra hour and a half. No apologies for any of this from U-Haul. I had my wife drive me to the new location while my mother in law watched our kids for way longer than she had planned, got the new truck, which was filthy (and running on empty, so I had to fill up before leaving), and then had to pay for an extra hour's worth of gas because I was so far away. Side note: The U-Haul app was completely useless and couldn't handle a login without "unexpected errors." I'm sure U-Haul is aware of this bug, because the app reviews are extremely low and everyone seems to be complaining about the same problems. Overall, ridiculous experience and completely soured me on the business.

How U-Haul Reviews WorkEven though the equipment was in good shape, I am not certain that all four tires were properly inflated. The next morning the left rear tire had no pressure and I had to inflate in order to make sure to complete the return.

He told us where to park the trailer and we were having problems trying to do the app check in and even called my mom to try and have her check it in but the app kept filtering back when tried to complete check in so asked the person at Sam’s to check us in and he refused said “ I will do it in the morning.” We dropped it off at 6:21 and he was open until 10:00pm. Would I recommend for drop off yes as our drop offs are limited in our rural settings and others had great experience so others may of been more helpful there. We called uhaul and explained so Laurie made sure we were no wrongly charged for anything. Uhaul is great

Steven W1. I learned 18 hours before my pickup time that I had to go to a location 30 minutes away. That cost me a $50 Uber ride and is unacceptable. 2. I had reserved a dozen furniture pads and learned when I got to the pickup location "we don't have any pads." You're a moving company, and, you accepted my reservation for those. 3. Upon checkin, I noted that the truck was "clean". Then, I got inside. Several empty drink bottes and other trash. Melted chocolate on the dash and consol. A sticky substance on the floor. I cleaned it myself before returning the truck so I wouldn't be charged for someone else's mess.
