Super fast and easy, the staff is friendly and took care of everything

First of all there really was no one that could actually help us . The little man tried but could not figure out what needed to be done. Our car electronics was not working so we could not drive it off the tow dolly. So we left the 26 foot super mover Uhaul there over night. The next morning at 9:00 am we returned and the little man who worked there tried to help us. Since the car would not start ( push button 2016 Hyundai) he lifted the tongue off the ball of the Uhaul. Now the front of the tow dolly is lower than the back. We drove the Uhaul back to our new home and unloaded it then cleaned it and returned it after closing hours. Put the key in the Dropbox. The next day we call GEICO for an emergency Tow to Hyundai dealership. But the car was still on the tow dolly facing down toward the tongue. When the tow truck tried to pull it off the tow dolly while I had it in reverse and and sitting in the drivers seat steering it. But he was pulling the tow dolly and the cars from wheel would not move out of the hole because tow dolly’s Tongue was on the ground from the day before’s helper. You could not lift it up to raise it on a ball a truck. So I hooked up the tow dolly’s chains under neath on my truck. Then started the car and backed up slowly off the tow dolly. Once I drove off the tow dolly the front of the dolly’s tongue raised up rapidly and scrapped the back on my tail gate top to bottom. Terrible! So I told the lady’s working the day shift on Monday. I told them it was the Uhaul Companies fault. Because my wife told the worker that helped us the day before that he needed to leave the tow dolly’s tongue raised. He never listened. The rest is history and I expect Uhaul to fix it or replace it. There is a Ford dealership right across the road and about a 2-3 minute drive. I will be getting an estimate for it and took pictures of it and one of the ladies working there observed the damage. My truck is a 2004 Ford F-150, 4x4 off road. I'm sorry, but all you see advertised all over the u-haul vehicles is $19.95/day for moving. Well I didn't read the small print, in town!! So I was expecting to pay around $60 - $70 bucks because I was only going a short distance. The cashier didn't say anything about price and wrote contract up and said, OK, that will $121 and change. I said what, I thought it was $19.95 plus mileage. Sh e said no, that's for only moving in town!

The truck itself was very worn and in need of replacement. Back hadn't been swept out and interior itself wasn't very clean. Overall, it was a very tired rental unit. I'm glad it wasn't my first U-Haul rental vehicle.

I have used uhaul exclusively for my entire life for moving, trailer rental ect. However, after this last "rental" I will never use your company again. It cost me $56.00 to take a motorcycle trailer from new Hampshire to ct. ( Known as a one way rental) I picked up the exact same trailer a week later for my return trip and was initially charged $120.00 for a one way rental, but after arguing with the place of rental and a customer service rep, it was dropped to $90.00 still a rediculas sum of money. Shame on your company for price gouging, I am a disabled vet and live on a small pension



The truck physically ran fine, however, the truck was not cleaned out prior to renting. The truck had food crumbs all over the place, sticky residue in the cup holders and an old, crumbling flower fell from above out heads onto the floor. There were also a couple of bugs crawling above the cab (they came out from behind the center console where cups are held).

I ordered a truck and tow dolly. However, when I called the day before the pickup the tow dolly was not available. I was told I had to use an auto transport. I didn't think this was a problem and asked the price to remain the same as for renting the tow dolly. Then I was told a tow dolly was never on the original order, so the price cannot be adjusted. Well, this is just not true, because I talked with Ace Hardware the week before and had my pickup date changed from a Wed. the 12th to Tues. the 11th and they told me everything was fine and my requested equipment would be available. I need a credit for this discrepancy. I really don't like being lied to.

This location is great. But, Uhaul overall was a nightmare. After a previous experience it was suggested to make a reservation ahead of time. So I did, one month to be exact. I had requested the truck a 1/4 mile from my house. Instead, the only truck they could find for me was two hours away, forcing me to go 4 hours out of my way, and put me way behind schedule. If you make a reservation one month prior then that should give the company accurate time to make a truck available at the location requested.

only the left side brake light and turn signal was not working. drove from ct to tx with out working light. this tow dolly was supposed to be included w a truck picked up in groton ct and equipment was not available. isn't there a guarantee of equipment once reservation is confirmed ?

We were disappointed that we had reserved furniture pads but there were none available in any of the rental vehicles despite 5 days advance reservation. Other than that, though, the service was good and the truck suited our needs just fine.
