We had to both choose where to put the trailer, but also do the unhooking and everything ourselves. No one even came outside to assist us in the parking of the trailer, the removal of it, or to check that there were no issues with it. Disappointing at best as there were NO customers at the location when we arrived and they couldn't be bothered to communicate or perform the tasks to return the Uhaul and left that to us.

The location was fine. The truck was clean, however mechanically just didn't feel right. I know from experience that those Ford models have a tendency to feel as if the front end is in worse condition than it actually is but I think that there really was something wrong. In this truck the steering did not feel right, it felt loose and clunky, I would feel the clunk all the way into the steering wheel as I was driving straight and the steering would catch. The truck also felt very under-powered, lost significant speed during slight inclines, barely would hold speed with my foot on the floor at inclines and I understand it's a 20 foot truck, but I barely had a quarter of it loaded. For a truck with 69k miles, I would have expected it to be more mechanically sound but I could not wait to never drive it again.



There was no one there to help me take the trailer off my car. It was hard to tell that it was even a drop off location. It was at a gas station with 2 young girls working there.Luckily one was able to prepare the paperwork for the return.

Portland wasn't the problem. The issue was ordering a 4x8 a month prior to be available at West Main St in New Britain at 7:30 AM and getting an email at 3PM the day before saying a 5x8 would be there at 2:00. Not good. It is clear to me that you don't really make a reservation; you make a request and if it works out where another rental matches your timing you are OK. If not, you are not OK. We will look else where for our next rental.

CSR was horrible. She didn't believe us when we told her we didn't have any blankets. She gave us keys but didn't tell us which truck they went to. She coped an attitude. Two credit cards were required because we were from out of state. When I made the reservation on line I thought I would be picking up in Cromwell. The day of the pick up I received a text saying my pick up location was Portland... a half hour away from my destination.

This isn't the rental location I had requested or gotten approved for. I ended uo having to drive three times as far. This location is not in an accessible location (i.e., in a rural, not a commercial, area)

The truck was great however I feel it was overpriced. I didn't need it for two days and was way under in miles. I will spend a lot more time shopping around in the future. Good product but ouch.



When I return the car ( 4 hours before time) girl need from me picture of millage and fuel tank( she did'nt say please) I told her this is Your job check car in returning. she say i can't ( she working as gas seller and u-haul agent) because nobody here and told me come back after 2 pm. I said no i can't and she said me GET OUT. I rent cars from u-haul many years, about twice a month and this is my first time with problems

My pickup location was not an issue. I had serious issues with the Uhaul reservation itself. UHual changed my pickup location without my consent to a location that was inconvienet form me with hours that were inconvienet for me. This caused issues with my drop off and being late on the return. I am completely dissatisfied with my rental as well as after calling to Voice my concerns being confronted with customer service representatives who were hostile and unwilling to help rectify my issues

I have contacted u haul 3x over this incident with NO help. Reference contract # 794055-4789 When I had arrived and this U haul facility I was told No storage unit available. Had shown the reservation # and all pertinent information. I had traveled across town and had also hired 2 personnel from your website as well. I was now forced to find another location, and pay the 2 individuals for doing nothing! I am now out over a considerable amount of money as a result from the help, time, gas and the extra expense of a different unit. I had initially used this facility because of cost and convenience. I tried contacting the manager at this facility several times with no results. I am extremely unhappy with the whole process and the way this matter has been handled! What good was making a reservation, this is the last thing I needed after travelling 2500 miles!!!!!



renting from uhaul was one my most frustrating and stressful experiences. Firstly, I booked my pickup on 11/13 from Manchester, CT. When I checked my reservation for pick up address, I noticed my pick up location was changed to Portland, CT without notifying me - I have not SMS, voice mail or email. I had to take a cab which costed me $60 to go to portland duirng peak evening hours - it took me overall 2.5 hours to get my van. Since, I had arranged my movers in advance, I had to pay them extra for waiting. This has been very disappointing experience for me. I ordered for and prepaid online for the the mattress and sofa cover, for which I was asked to go back to Manchester, CT location - which obviously, I did not pick up , in spite of paying. for it.



Dropped off the truck at 6pm and there was only one person working. She would only work on signing us off after she completed with the other customers were done even thou we were there first, as a matter of fact she asked us the step aside so she can check out other customers first. I was upset with her system and stated it and she said "that is the way it is!" As other customers came in she would StOp what she was doing with our sign off and give her attention to them. My transaction was zero money paid and should have been 1 min and took a good 10 times longer!!!!



Make surevthat pickup location is closer to my address next time.



It was very helpful to be able to fill the truck up upon return. The emplyee who I returned the truck to (Jake) stayed late to make sure that the rentel was returned properly. I very much appreciated his efforts to assist me.

The associates did not know how to put the trailer on my car. This was very disappointing.



The customer service was fine they had some trouble with the Laptop used to sign out the trailer. there was an old cardboard box in the trailer and the left tail light was not working. It might be beneficial to lubricate the securing mechanism. I do understand this is nothing more than a remote drop location but you rent equipment it should be safe to operate. the local personnel we great this location is nothing more than a lot to drop off equipment. regards Jim Maines
