Location had two 20' box trucks, they chose to give us the 1 that had a dead battery. We watched them have to jump it to start it. Had us take it, once we left, got to our destination and surprise, battery is dead. Called immediately back to location and was told to jump it to get it going. Once I refused to jump it, they decided to come out and swap it out with the other 20' box truck they had. We lost over 2 hours of time dealing with this all the while I had a moving crew there waiting that I was still having to pay the hourly rate on. I did call to UHAUL directly and spoke with a customer service rep after being on hold for 1 hour 47 mins to just be told that a local manager would call me back in 3 days to rectify the issue, well, we are now on day 5 and still no phone call back. Needless to say, I will NEVER rent from UHAUL again. So much time, hassle and money lost for no reason and trying to deal with anyone is ridiculous, all everyone did was play a blame game. Over 5 hours worth of waiting & phone calls for nothing. Lots of money lost for no reason. If they knew the battery was dead, that truck should have NEVER been allowed to leave, period! I will make sure to pass the word around about this awful experience. From local pickup to UHAUL customer service.

There was a lot of confusion (generated by UHaul, it seems) over when we would be picking up the van. We asked for it to be ready after 8AM, then received a call saying it wouldn't be ready until 11AM. When we arrived, there were 4 trucks available.

Truck had several warning lights on including check engine light, tire pressure sensor problems and another I can't remember. The back-up warning buzzer did not work. The front seat was jammed in the fully back position and a mechanic had to come beat on it to move it up and the gas tank was not filled (< 1/4). Also, person on phone had no customer service skills whatsoever.

I didn't receive any instruction from uhaul hooking up the trailer. We figured it out, but a little costumer service would have been appreciated. Also, picking up the trailer was delayed due to need of light adapter. This could have easily been avoided if I'd known prior to coming to pick it up. Lastly, though all lights were working at time of pick up, i was eventually pulled over due to a light failure on trailer.

I would not recommend any location if you're dropping off after hours!!! I have never been through such a process to return a vehicle! Take a picture of that, take a picture of this!! And to only to keep getting rejected!!! I couldn't even finish the process because they would not accept any pictures for the final step!! Absolutely ridiculous what you're made to do when you return it after hours!!

Our reservation was changed to this location. When we picked up, the gentleman wondered out loud about why we were given the vehicle as there was a known problem with the driver's side exterior handle---it didn't open the door. I explained our situation and that we needed that size vehicle or larger for our move. The representative discounted the rental fee and the mileage fee because we agreed to take the vehicle. It wasn't long before we realized that there were other issues with the vehicle....like a loud exhaust, an odd wobble in the front passenger side tire and a transmission that was slow to shift and limited our acceleration to the point we needed to avoid highways. Again, we OPTED to take the vehicle because we were told that there were no other seventeen foot vehicles available. However, none of these other issues were disclosed to us or we would have chosen another option. I think that the company should have removed this vehicle from service and fixed the window before we were placed in this situation. On Sunday, one day longer that anticipated because of this vehicle, I called to let the company know. The agent explained that I needed to speak to roadside assistance to report all the problems. The roadside assistance agent was not the most helpful. She initially tried to tell me that we did wrong. I explained AGAIN that this was our second rental in two weeks and we watched the YouTube videos and had a walk thru with the previous agent. My call to roadside assistance was to report the loud exhaust, the wobble in the front passenger side tire, and the failure to accelerate with the "TOW" option engaged or disengaged. (We did better disengaged.) My issue is not with the people that I interacted with, they were all very accommodating, my issue is that this vehicle was left in service and we had to deal with the stress that it added to our move.

I had to wait over a half an hour my trailer because the guy couldn't "sign it out." He had to get on the phone with Uhaul and it took a looooonnng time to "fix." The guy (Corrie) was very nice though.
