The truck just came in so it wasn't the locations fault. The truck had a broken AC unit on a 90+ degree day. And the Trailer/Tow feature could not be disabled so we only got 9 MPG for the trip to pick up a Aluminum Wheel Chair Ramp. So I would have to rate the truck a 5 at the most.

Your reservation system needs work. I recently made a reservation to have a hitch installed. I received a confirmation email. Then I took the reserved day (Friday) off work. The next day I got a call saying that the reservation was updated to Saturday day at noon. So my wife went on Saturday. She planned to stay while it was being done (it was supposed to take only two hours). She was told they wouldn't even be starting it until 5 or 6. We brought it back on Sunday and finally got it installed. This time I tried renting a trailer. I put in exactly the trailer I needed, and the timeframe (I entered the start and end dates - 5 days total. My town U-haul didn't have availability, but several places in a town 30 minutes away did. So I picked one, made the reservation and paid. Then I got a call that none of those places had the trailer for the time period I needed, but a place in a small remote town an hour away did. In my opinion, you moved me to that site because it was less likely to rent a trailer and you wanted to keep the trailers in the more convenient location available to rent to daily customers. That is your prerogative, but I would prefer that you just do that up front, so that I can make an informed buying decision.

You failed with my original location request, but you did credit me the 50$ reservation guarantee. But then you made me drive farther than I originally want it to and then charged me the extra miles. So what's to stop you from doing that all the time, I should be credited the extra 40 miles I had to drive to get the truck, it wans't my fault the truck wasn't where I reserved it at.

UHaul made our lives hell for 3 days and I don’t plan to ever use them again. We ordered a 26’ truck for Manchester, CT and we got a confirmation for a 20’ truck in the wrong location. I don’t even feel like going into all the details of our horrific experience but when booking with UHaul, be aware that what you order isn’t a guarantee. Never again.

The 12x6 trailer was out of alignment and went through 2 tires. One shredded in DE, the replacement was down to the cords when we dropped it off. The 26’ truck had no a/c. It was hellish hot without functioning a/c.

My only complaint was that when I booked on line I was given 955 miles but when I picked up The truck the contract was for 903 miles which I failed to note until drop off. My mileage was over that total and I was charged for the excess. Overall a good experience in spite of this mistake.

Furniture pads were filthy. Mud and dirt on most and even twigs and leaves. How can that protect my furniture of it's rubbing dirt into the finishes?

Location had two 20' box trucks, they chose to give us the 1 that had a dead battery. We watched them have to jump it to start it. Had us take it, once we left, got to our destination and surprise, battery is dead. Called immediately back to location and was told to jump it to get it going. Once I refused to jump it, they decided to come out and swap it out with the other 20' box truck they had. We lost over 2 hours of time dealing with this all the while I had a moving crew there waiting that I was still having to pay the hourly rate on. I did call to UHAUL directly and spoke with a customer service rep after being on hold for 1 hour 47 mins to just be told that a local manager would call me back in 3 days to rectify the issue, well, we are now on day 5 and still no phone call back. Needless to say, I will NEVER rent from UHAUL again. So much time, hassle and money lost for no reason and trying to deal with anyone is ridiculous, all everyone did was play a blame game. Over 5 hours worth of waiting & phone calls for nothing. Lots of money lost for no reason. If they knew the battery was dead, that truck should have NEVER been allowed to leave, period! I will make sure to pass the word around about this awful experience. From local pickup to UHAUL customer service.

There was a lot of confusion (generated by UHaul, it seems) over when we would be picking up the van. We asked for it to be ready after 8AM, then received a call saying it wouldn't be ready until 11AM. When we arrived, there were 4 trucks available.
