I was extremely disappointed with my U-Haul experience. When I arrived to pick up my reserved equipment, it was not available even though there were multiple trailers sitting at other locations in town. As a result, I had to drive to another town to get a trailer, which added nearly two extra hours to my move along with additional mileage and fuel costs. What was most frustrating was the lack of communication. Had I been notified earlier that my equipment would not be available, I could have adjusted my plans and picked up a trailer from a different location while traveling through the area. Instead, I learned about the issue at the last minute, which caused unnecessary delays and inconvenience. Despite the added time and expense, I was not offered any discount or compensation for the disruption. I do want to recognize the staff in Red Lake Falls, who were friendly, professional, and did their best to help. My disappointment is not with them, but with the overall U-Haul experience and the lack of planning, communication, and customer service in resolving the situation. Unfortunately, what should have been a simple equipment pickup ended up creating significant delays and frustration during an already busy moving day.
