Pick up and drop off were a nightmare. At pickup, the U-Haul app directed me to speak with an employee to pick up my key. But it was supposed to be a contactless pickup. Employee had no idea how to get the key. My app then went back to the Home Screen. Would not take me back to the check in page. Employee had to call someone who eventually got her the key. This took 45 minutes. When we got in the vehicle the fuel registered at empty. We brought it back with 1/4 tank, which was a lot more than we had when we picked it up, and the system charged us an additional $11 for gas. At drop off the app prompted us to take pics of the vehicle, including the fuel gauge and odometer, but it did not do so at pick up. The whole experience was awful. We will never rent a U-Haul again. I’ll go to Home Depot and rent one of their trucks next time. It’s a much easier experience.

Just dropped truck off then key into box. No personal interaction.
Charles GStop relying on computers. I made reservation, your system crashed and it was pain in ass to get a truck. Then was billed for extra miles because she could not see what was allowed, when previous week rented truck took exact same route and did not get charged extra for mileage
James GLet charges (bills) be right.
Gerald NThe truck was at the location prior to my scheduled time but I had to wait about 15 minutes for the truck to be reviewed by a U-Haul representative who was running late. Otherwise, the truck ran well and I could tell it was well maintained for a vehicle that had just over 100K miles. The price was very competitive and I would recommend using U-Haul in the future, which is my plan.
