Trailer leaked on my furniture through the roof where duct tape was applied. Locations were good.

Service clerk was very helpful and polite. The car hauler I rented was obviously very old and poorly maintained. I'm a mechanic by trade and saw numerous safety issues. The trailer frame had rusty spots and a few holes. The biggest concern was the wiring harness. The lights didn't work upon arrival. I found the ground wires were pop riveted to the frame. This isn't the proper way to secure a ground wire. The rivets had become loose, causing a bad connection. The service clerk had to twist the connection around to clean off rust to make a good connection. This repair should have been done with a self tapping screw and lock washer to prevent the ground wire coming loose, and also making future repairs easier. Also the harness had been damaged several times, and the repairs made were botched at best. Incorrect wire connectors were used, harness wasn't secured properly, letting harness sag and become exposed to more damage. Obviously whoever repaired this trailer had very little or no experience with wiring. Connectors should have been a water proof type, which these were not. I've rented several car hauler from uhaul but this was by far the worst.

Took forever, over an hour to correct and complete contract. Sales person was nice, but initial contract, set up ahead of time, was wrong. Was local rental and I needed one way. Computer had "glitch" and sales person spent a long time on phone doing contract manually. Later, when I tried to contact Uhaul by phone, I was on terminal hold, thirty minutes later I hung up exasperated with Uhaul. God help me that I never have to use Uhaul again.
