the worker was very rude to me. The door was locked and no one answered when I knocked. after a few minutes standing there, I noticed a sign that said "use the uhaul app." so I went to the car to fill it out. my friend i was with walked over to the trailers and touched one while I was filling it out. At this point the worker came out, I got out of the car and told him I was picking up a trailer I rented, he looked at me and walked past to tell my friend he could call the cops for trying to steal the trailer. I repeated to him that I had rented a trailer and he told me "no you haven't you are trying to steal a trailer" I said "oh, let me show you my reservation" and he responded "yes you reserved it and you won't get it if you steal it. you haven't rented anything" I went inside with him to fill everything out and tried to explain to him my confusion. He cut me off and said " I saw you out there and you didn't seem ready so I waited." He was repeatedly short and rude to me the entire time. Including telling me multiple times "I dont have to give the trailer" and "maybe you are not serious and don't want it." after I didn't understand some of his questions such as "where are you putting your stuff when you get there" meaning "we require an adress we can contact incase this isnt returned". overall just very hostile and combative as If he was doing me an unwanted favor. very unlike every other experience I have had with uhaul. Also he insisted on hooking the trailer up and after driving away I pulled over because it was so loud and saw the chain was not hooked up but just dragging on the ground. If I were a paranoid man I would say it was intentional because I didn't get the insurance which he seemed really mad at repeatedly asking me if I could afford to pay damages if something happened.
