I had one of the worst experiences ever with U-Haul. I arrived at my scheduled pickup time, only to find out they didn’t have any of the dollies I had preordered. Not only did they fail to provide the equipment, but they also didn’t offer any assistance in helping me locate another nearby location that might have them. I ended up driving to 3 different U-Haul locations before I was finally able to find a store that had the dollies in stock. Then, when I was done with my rental and tried to drop off the box truck at the location I had selected when making my reservation, there was no one there, and they didn’t even have a box for me to drop off the key. I called the 1-800 number, and to my surprise, they told me my drop-off location had been changed—without any notification to me. I had no idea this change had been made, and it caused unnecessary confusion and frustration. Overall, the lack of communication, poor service, and failure to deliver on promises made this experience extremely frustrating. I will seriously reconsider using U-Haul in the future.
