It was a little intimidating walking into a gun store to pick up a UHaul. In fact, there was very little signage indicating we were in the right spot. We even walked in and walked out, not realizing we were in the right spot. With that said, the gentleman in the store were very knowledgable. James was fantastic, completed reviewing our contract and insurance policy. He highlighted all the information we needed to make it easy to find (should we have needed to use it.) James even taught us a great trick with the chains (roll them to prevent dragging.) Good guys in there.

Well I rented a 10 ft. box. I was asked if I could get it done in four hours. I thought I could but ran into delays. I reported this and was asked if I could get it there by six or close to it. I got it in by seven and was never told that it would cost me another day but they charged me for another day. I didn't even have it 24 hours. Things happen in moving. I was very dissatisfied at the way they hustled me out of my money. You advertise 1995 per day which is 24 hours and I didn't even have it 24 hours and got charged for 2 days

I was told I could drop off the trailer at any UHaul site. When I took it to the UHaul location on Central Expressway in Plano, TX, I was told that they don't handle trailers and I would have to take it to a different site. The pick-up site needs to be clear on where the trailer can be returned.

If I were Uhaul I TRULY would not want this business associated with Uhaul! I want to preface all of this by saying I have never written a negative review. I understand we are all human and make mistakes- that is okay! But the overall experience here left me for a loss of words and tears on my face. I am just going to bullet point it for simplicity. Day before: - Go online to - Book trailer for mobile pick up at 7:00 am for 10 hours- exactly what I need for my move! - Quoted around $95 with mileage estimator Day of: - Arrive at 7:00 start my mobile check in - Mobile check in says, "your equipment was not reserved" - I call the help number, Steve Phillips, Uhaul area field manager 501-557-7621 - Steve wakes up says he will head that way he will have to cut a new key or something -I feel bad for waking steve up so I say.. I can meet at 8:30 if that helps! Steve is grateful says 8:30 will work. -Show back up at 8:30. -Steve is not there but the owner of the Range is there unlocking his building. -Refuses to listen to me, asks who I talked to, when I say "steve" he repeatedly speaks over me informing me "I have no employee named steve! We will not open until 9:00!!" -I'm left stunned at how rude the owner was an how much he refused to listen to an issue ....Wait around until 9.. Steve still wasn't there... -Text steve, says he is in traffic. I understand that. -Go inside once the business is open. -Quietly ask for help to another older gentleman. -Older gentleman starts speaking over me telling me, "we don't open until 9:00!!" and refusing to listen to me say that I had arranged for mobile pick up at 7:00 Am and was just trying to figure it out. -Man continues to not listen to anything I'm saying -I start embarrassingly crying. ugh. -Woman in store offers to help me. She is SUPER nice, but still... -Informs me rentals are a 24-hour minimum which meant I had to spend almost twice what I was quoted online for 10 hours! -Went ahead and paid it because at this point I was 2 hours behind and barely going to get moved out on time. -After I had already left Steve FINALLY texted me to tell me he was there. Okay. Why does it say I can do things online that the business says I can't? Are they misinformed? Uninformed? Ripping people off? I don't know. I was so excited with what told me I could do, what it confirmed in email that I could do, but then none of it happened. All of the human mistakes I can understand but the INSANE amount of rudeness that pushed me to the point of tears is crazy. I am not even a cryer and I understand we make mistakes but I've never been treated so badly. I am a 23 year old girl, yes, but I'm not stupid, all I was wanting were answers but the people at the Range refused to listen and treated me as if I were crazy and stupid. This experience was horrible in every aspect and I'm terrified of ever using a Uhaul again. At least the truck was very nice.

The selection was pretty limited. I want to emphasize the gentlemen how helped me was very helpful and I would give him high marks. Fortunately, the size trailer I needed was available. I realize that the size of Searcy, AR probably dictates how many units can be available but as I said the selection was very limited. Again, I want to emphasize the person who waited on me was extremely helpful and courteous.

Have rented equipment available and ready. Did not have furniture dolly. Had to wait an hour for an appliance dolly.



When I picked up the key, I was asked if I wanted contents insurance. I replied no, because my son is a truck driver, has been for many years, so wasn’t concerned about my belongings. The Uhaul was struck by an idiot, driving about 100 miles per hour, totaled his vehicle and barely damaged the truck. I was told I may be responsible for a broken tail light, because uhaul doesn’t want to deal with the responsible party’s insurance. That really upset me because I’m on SS and don’t have money to pay for someone else’s ignorance.
