The kiosk was air conditioned to walk in cooler temps. The attendant was wearing a winter jacket. He said it was cold on purpose to stop the drinks fridges getting moisture on their doors. The check out process took for ever because the attendant was constantly stopping to cash out gas customers and people buying drug paraphernalia, yes crack pipes and bongs were on full display for sale at this location. The van I was given had obvious transmission issues and the check engine light was on. I had to take the van to a real U Haul location to get the check engine light looked at. They were great and told me it was not safe to drive where I was going and gave me a different vehicle that was fine.

The location and service was great at Pioneer but the service from U-Haul was terrible. I made my reservation online and upon arrival Pioneer did not have the information. Then U-Haul attempted to over charge us and it was only corrected thanks to the help from the gentleman at Pioneer helping to correct all the over charges. U-Haul did not make it easy for Pioneer or us to rent this van, so I will be thinking twice before using U-Haul again
Samantha HI suggest you have the uhauls full and then renter has to fill it to full. I was going 3 hours away so I had to fill it to full. $130. In order to feel safe enough I would not run out. I left the truck with approx $30 more in gas than when I got it. Gentleman was friendly and very nice.
Sandy BI am not sure if i accidentally checked off the insurance and was charged for it but did not want it. It seemed like the default was set to charge for insurance . Other than that it was very good.
Fred SThe man who was in the Petro Canada was very rude. When I walked in with the reservation from the other location he didn’t seem to understand. He ate his lunch served other gas customers and counted money and I felt like he had better things to do than look after my business. While he ate he had mayonnaise on his face and still took huge bites. When he finally looked at the print out he said who is this for I don’t see a name where is it? Hw shoved the paper towards me, it was in bold print. He gave me the keys. I returned in an hour dreading his attitude. It took 45 minutes to clear things up where he had to call someone else to fix up the rental. After he spoke to to the lady and couldn’t rectify things quickly he shoved his phone towards me and you speak to her. I am a 77 year old lady who had rented vehicles both here and in the USA many times. This was completely unacceptable customer service. I have done sales and customer service in my work life. I wouldn’t have had a job if I had ever done one of the rude and disrespectful things this man did.
