I was called by head-office, 7 minutes after my scheduled time, to inform me that they did not have a 15' truck like I had booked. The best they could do was a cargo van. I asked if they could give me two cargo vans as I would otherwise have to take multiple trips. I was told that a second cargo van would be regularly priced. Instead, they would give me 74 cents per kilometer and a $50 refund. However, when I got the receipt after returning my rental there was no indication of the reduced fee per kilometer, or the $50 refund. I was charged regular price. I called customer service and they told me I would get a call from manager first (within 72 hours), before I would get the changes on my receipt. It's been 48 hours so far, and I have received no call from a manager. First of all, the company messes up and tells me after my scheduled time of the same. Then they give a measly fix that does not even get reflected on my receipt and on top of that I now I have to wait for a call from a manager to get the promised rate that the company should have already corrected for in the first place. Tell people well in advance if you can not fulfil the order + put the correct price on the receipt to begin with
Aneeshka VThe equipment was very clean, but the AC was broken, which we unfortunately did not realize until after the truck was packed. We moved on one of the hottest days of the year and did not have flexibility in our moving timeline. We had to keep the windows down the whole drive (approx 5 hours to Ottawa), but even with a breeze it was extremely hot. The day of our move, the air quality was extremely poor because of wildfire smoke, which we had to inhale because we could not keep the windows closed since it was so hot.
Ana SKeep up the good work.
