If they were going to charge me a whole day for being a few hours late it would have been nice to know, as it was partially uhauls fault. I had to bring in extra help to unload quicker to get it back by 6 as they requested when I called that morning. They didnt mention a penalty but made it sound like it would be fine as long as it was back before 7. I could have dropped it the next day for the same late fee and not hired an extra person.

Very very disappointed with our service. We had issues with the booking being changed and were told it was being looked into. No response. Paid full price and after they so stringently wanted it back by 11am we waited 15 mins after 11 (having been there before then to even be waited on). DO NOT USE THE TRURO LOCATION. If you search UHaul Truro on Facebook you will find many many bad reviews from the new location. Basically you are treated as though you can't complain because they have a monopoly in this town. Will not be recommending to anyone who do business with in this town ever again. I recommend everyone read the online reviews before they book. They do not value their customers. Will be contacting the BBB and local newspapers

When I initially called to book a moving van I was hung up on. Then I called back and I think got a call center. The man I spoke to was very impatient. He gave me no information and just wanted me to book the truck. When I said I wanted information he said to just book the truck as I could cancel at any time. I did book the truck and went to the office on court street the next day and got more information. The people there were very nice and answered all my questions. However they did have me change my date as the date I booked previously would not have had the carovan available so they would have had to bring it from away which would have been an extra charge. When I went to pick up the van there was a problem with the internet and it took about 25 minutes to get the paper work done as they had to upload my license. The person who waited on me seemed fairly new as she was asking the other lady who worked there questions. The other lady appeared annoyed and didn't seem to want to help. The carovan was clean and ran well. The court street location closes at 7 so I arrived at 6:55 and it was closed. There was another customer also there wondering why the location was closed before 7. So I then went to do self checkout. What an ordeal that was. You have to go online. Set up an account. It wouldn't allow me to set up the account so I called the 1 800 number and got someone friendly. This is all while standing outside the building. Thank goodness it had stopped raining. The lady I spoke to was amazing and walked my through getting signed in. The process took about 45 minutes to complete you have to answer questions and have to take pictures and upload them to prove your mileage, gas, and that the van is clean etc. I would not recommend you use uhaul if there is another company you could use.

Check In- Fine, Vehicle worked fine, check out was terrible. Took 45 mins and there was nobody else in the store. Counter rep took multiple phone calls while working on my file which should have taken 5 mins. Was quoted $434.70 for 1800 kms of use, with $0.20 per km over that. Used 1920 which should have been $24 plus tax additional and ended up paying $575 somehow. The people at the counter assured me it was right but it wasn't. Wouldn't use this location again.

They lost the credit card information so luckily with a phone call it was retrieved and truck could be picked up. Personal was friendly and helpful though.

When I rented the truck from 8am to 8pm and returned with in that time frame I was charged for an other days rental rate and it took longer to do the self check in because it was hard to get a good enough picture for the web sight to accept.so it made me about a half an hour late returning it.

Dont put the air fresheners in the units. Otherwise, Court St excellent service. One other, head office must let location have 10' cubes. Van's ok, not high enough. Thank you

I was pleased with everything except your billing practices. I did not like you putting pending transactions through on my visa. Not only that but these transactions were incorrect in the price of my service and it looked like they were charged on my visa from my phone. I almost had a heart attack when I seen the transaction payments. I called your office right away and the clerk assured me I was not going to be charged this amount. Please change your billing methods, as I spoke to some of my friends and they also do not like your billing methods. Other than that I was very pleased with everything else.

It took an exceptionally long time to complete our transaction. We were told we could have the vehicle until 4 o’clock the next day. We then received a text from another office saying it had to be back on the same day. I was unable to talk to someone at the local office when I called back and the person I talk to From the call centre was rude and dismissive. There appears to be huge miscommunication between the local office and the head office.
