You can allow people to change drop off locations. Maybe require a day or 12 hour notification before they change it. But the option to change it without a fee should be allowed. I rented the trailer and picked the wrong drop off location by accident. I wasnt able to change the location and I wish I could have had least the option too.

To start it took 20 minutes just to get the U-Haul. I was picking it up at 9:00 PM so it’s dark out. They needed a picture of my face but since it was dark out they couldn’t verify it which then took forever to speak to someone. Finally got it verified and left the place. I had ordered an appliance dolly with the U-Hauk. I get home to start packing and there’s NO dolly. I call U-Haul customer service she said “well they didn’t charge you for one, where you picked it up must’ve been out of them” so I say okay well it would’ve been nice for someone to email me or notify me they were out. No apology or anything was given. I then hang up and check my contract and sure enough they did charge me for the dolly. So I call back and confirmed with the SECOND lady I talked to that they did in fact charge me for the dolly I did not ever receive, she did give me a refund but never an apology. Well it’s 11 PM by this point and the place I picked the U-Haul up from that DID NOT give me the dolly is closed so now I’m pushed back in moving because I had to wait until the next morning for a place to open that has a dolly big enough for what I needed but in the mean time I only have the U-Haul until 9 the next day so I basically lost a whole nights work because I didn’t have the dolly that I PAID for. Well fast forward to the next morning, I called the place I had got the U-Haul and she informed me that they CANNOT see the orders just the name and of he size of U-Haul that is ordered. This was a HUGE inconvenience and mess. I would never recommend anyone to rent a U-Haul. I was estatic when I figured out I could pick up the U-Haul whenever I wanted because my work schedule is impossible to work around so this worked great for me. However, this system is extremely flawed and your customer service representatives are rude and liars.

town was hit with a foot of snow and i was allowed to drop off 1 mile from my house instead of 15 miles away. great customer service looking out for our safety..

The truck was in bad condition. the gear shift wobbled between reverse and neutral. Brakes were horrible and it leaked some fluid all over my drive. I was charged an addition 13.00 for gas (contract said 3.75 she said it was 4.00 per gallon). I went 23 miles!!! So, I guess you only get 4ish miles per gallon??? They had gas logged above 3/4, when it was actually right on 3/4. When it was returned it was on the left edge of the 3/4 line, she "averaged it down". When calling to dispute the 13.00 charge I explained to her it did not have as much gas as it was stated. She verbally told me it was 3/4, I took a picture when I got in,,,,i never checked the paperwork she folded up in the sleeve. She only logged me for 23 hours of use, when I paid for 24 ( she wanted to log it for 6) This should not even be a dispute, for 93.00 I should get the full 24!!! This is not a good representation of UHaul! I will NEVER use this establishment again. I have rented multiple uhauls, and I have never had any issues with one until this time. I will drive to the next town over next time. 93.00 for a 29.99 rental. Rediculous. Was there for over an hour just to get the rental as well!!! Was not given the dolly I rented, had to run back to the establishment to pick that back up. Crazy way to run a business.

I signed up to do the phone pick up and not have to go inside before picking up my truck. We had to wait until the lady arrived at Don's before we could get the keys! Our pick up time was supposed to be 7:30, but she didn't get there until 8:00.

The pick up place took us 2 hours to get the truck. Employee had to keep calling someone with questions, then the printer wouldn't work and stood there for an hour waiting for the receipt. After getting the truck on our way from Ohio to Florida we ran into a rain storm and the driver side windshield wiper broke while on the highway and had to pull over. The transmission acted like it was slipping and when going down hills the brake was slowing me down and it took. Minute before the gas would kick in to accelerate again. This was the last time I will be using Uhaul. I will go with Penske next time. This was a safety hazard at it's best. The maintenance on the trucks is almost none in my opinion. I will be letting oth ders know.

Was told I'd get confirmation call by reservation specialist. Did not receive confirmation call. Received email confirming that 15' moving van would be guaranteed Monday 04/30/2018 at 8:30am. I arrived at 8:40am. The one person who processed UHaul's was not in yet. We had to wait about 20~ minutes until she arrived. We had chosen express check-in, hoping it would make things go quicker. We still did not actually get our truck and leave with it until 9:30-9:40. Also was charged additional sales tax at the office. Lady working told me she didn't know why it was being charged several times. Then when she continued to next screen is where it told her that it was sales tax. Why didn't UHaul charge me this sales tax upfront? Overall, a very bumpy and frustrating start to an already stressful move.
