The online check in was challenging because the place did not seem to have strong cell coverage - I had difficulty connecting and could not use the online app.

Owner called me to come down and put more gas in the truck before closing out the order because it was on E. Took photo of the gas gauge which showed it at 3/16 which was the contracted amount as well above what I received the vehicle in.

Took way too long to pick up. Over an hour from time arrived. Could not get computer to work, had to call main office and give all info after waiting for ever. Overall way too many emails and text messages from uhaul. Tried to use scare tactics with regards to purchasing insurance stated if damaged the trailer would cost $25,000 to replace. I hope uhaul is not paying that much for a 5x8 trailer ! I have actually purchased a new vehicle with less trouble.

While he’s very nice, it seems like the owner might be getting on in years and having difficulty keeping up. He was confused by the online process and couldn’t help us hook up the trailer.

Everything was great, I did almost leave without a dolly. Maybe just be aware of those reservations with any extras needed and double-check on it having all things needed as part of a checklist. But they were great. I actually got a phone call to make sure I was still coming for the pickup, ironically just as I pulled into the parking lot. I did virtual check-in which was great and as soon as the gentlemen inside saw I was taking pics he came right out to mark the spots for me.

I was not explained the after hours drop off at all I was just told the box was out in the front door when I put the key in the front that’s when I realized afterwards I needed to take an actual picture of the gas and the mileage thank God I took that on my own the problem is when I followed the link it required me to take an actual photo I could not upload another photo I should’ve been told To make sure I go on the phone and follow the link before I get out the van. Furthermore he stated it required me to have insurance but on the app it did not state that in allowed me to continue to reserve it without insurance I went ahead and kept it on anyway I ended up paying a whole lot more than what was needed. Also when I turn the van on the gas was at the line it stated originally but as I drove down the street it seem to drop by a whole lot.

Clean truck after someone drops it off since we are charged a cleaning fee if we dont drop it off clean Also every truck should start full again since we get charged if we dont replace the fuel When someone wants to pickup at a certain location, make sure the equipment is at that location, i gave over a week to have what I needed at the location I requested. Instead you changed my location and messed my move up and add a few more hours to my move

I had rented a van at 3 pm and supposed to return at 3 pm the next day, I had unexpected problems (the storm mostly) anyway , well anyway we had to keep the van an extra day however the man from u haul called and said I had to return the van by 8 am which is not the 24 rental , we returned the van at 11 pm that evening so we didn’t have to get there by 8 am , and again we HAD TO RETURN BY 8 AM , not til 3 pm the next day which would have been another 24 hr rental for which I was charged!! All because someone else needed that van and as soon as they got the van they rented it again on part of my 24 hour PAID TIME!!! I didn’t think that was fair or right at all, actually quite dishonest!! Dishonest businessmen like that definitely want to make you go somewhere else as well as the first time I rented a truck online and there was an ad stating that if the vehicle wasn’t ready when I went to pick it up there would be a twenty dollar credit.... well when I got there we were there almost an hour! Because the whole thing had to be done over and my card was swiped 3 times for the transaction which froze my card and it was a very good thing I had cash on me to pay for it!! Nice people but very bad business people!!!!

First, I would like to say, all the U-Haul reps/staff I dealt with were nice, pleasant, and tried to be helpful. However, they were not able to solve an important problem. When the staff at K-Music hooked up my truck to your trailer, the trailer did not have right rear lights (directional and brake light). They hooked up my truck to a second trailer on the lot. Same problem. They concluded the problem was with my truck. The staff instructed me to go to another U-Haul rental site in Utica as the staff there would be able to fix the problem my truck was having connecting to the lights on your trailer. I tow trailers with my truck quite often and was surprised by this situation. But, but I complied and went to the other U-Haul vendor. The second vendor examined my truck and determined it was your trailer all along. And they couldn't make the necessary repair because they were not able to get parts. I had already lost an hour and half of time. I needed to pick up a purchase of furniture and couldn't delay anymore. I took the trailer as is and hoped for the best. I was traveling in good weather and mostly in daylight. My question: What is the policy for your vendors to inspect vehicles (and trailers) before renting them out. I think that should be done well in advance of the customer pick-up time. Why should I, as the customer, lose my time waiting for your vendors to inspect and repair your equipment? And if I had not accepted the trailer as is, I would not have been able to get any other trailer in the area until days later. I also would like to comment about my disappointment with your reservation system. I made a reservation well in advance of the pick-up date. Two days before my scheduled pick-up, I was notified that the requested trailer (6x12) was no longer available at my preferred pick-up location and the new pick-up location was over 40 miles away from my preferred pick-up location. I had already begun my trip and could not change the pick-up time so I was forced to rent a smaller trailer (5x8) from a location only 15 miles away from my preferred pick location. This really started the trip on a wrong note
