The truck could have been cleaner. I was also incorrectly charged for two utility dollies. However, this was quickly handled by staff and that was good.

Have staff members working the counter have computer / process knowledge. Staff member at the time of my pickup was not able to figure out the system. After taking way too long, I had to get another staff member to help him out.

This location was not the original place I had intended to drop off the truck but it was more convenient for me (was told in the morning when I picked up the truck that this would be OK). The agent seemed unfamiliar with the process of checking me in when the equipment was not originally scheduled to be dropped off at this location. Consequently, this process took longer than it should have.

I had a poor experience with U-Haul overall. Initially I had rented a U-Haul truck early in the week for Saturday May 25th. It was to be a box truck that fits a studio apartment according to the person over the phone who made the reservation. When I got to the initial location at Shell in Wickliffe there was not a box truck available but just a cargo van which was not big enough for moving my girls out of a college apartment. The women working at shell told me to call U-Haul and that she didn't book it. I asked her if she could call U-Haul for me to help with this problem and she said she had a costumers to take care of as one person walked through the door. I thought I was a customer too. So she told me the number to call and I waited on hold for at least 20 minutes. The U-Haul rep told me she found another Uhaul in Willowick at Ace Hardware. I drove there only to find out that there was not a U-Haul available at that time. I went home and was called by a Uhaul rep stating I could drive out of my way to Eastlake now to rent aUuhaul that did not have an employee there so I would need to first watch an instructional video first and take pictures of myself and the mileage of vehicle . This was not going to work for me so I then asked if I could get a Uhaul when one was returned to Ace Hardware after 130 pm that day. I was able to get a Uhaul by 2PM that afternoon which was 4 1/2 hours after the reservation time of 930AM that I had made. The U-Haul leaflet states reservations guaranteed. I was told I would be getting something reimbursed in my account but I'm not sure of how much that is. This incident was extremely frustrating as a customer and wasted a significant amount of my day.

The problem did not actually stem from this location the actual problem was with U-Haul AS USUAL. I went online reserved my vehicle and U-Haul system was down. I let the person who brought me to pick up the vehicle leave, online it says must have major credit card, WHICH I DID, then U-Haul system would not take credit cards and required me to pay in cash which I did not have nor did I have a ride to go get cash. I ended up missing my appointment because I was in store more than 45 minutes dealing with this disaster. I now have to take off another day of work because I have to reschedule my appointment. U-Haul is a nightmare this is not the 1st time I’ve had issues with this company. Let’s be clear the store owner at Ace Hardware did everything she could like I said the problem stemmed from U-Haul

The location was great. But uhaul corporate sucks. They delayed the process by 45 minutes due to an erroneous $.01 balance on my account. Terrible experience.



I think my deposit was a little to high for a $40.00 estimate. I never rented and the cash deposit was $300.00 otherwise everything else was cool
