This agent and the guys work there the tray to charge me cleaning fees they do charge over prices and my trip they charge me guys Too I did returned the gas tank the same things I took it and they charge me cleaning fees and the truck was very very very dairy when I picked it up and they have zero experience with customer service

First of all....a lot of uhaul places near us were closed (at 3pm!?). Then took it to place on Marshall st (downtown Winston) & they would not accept it because we did not rent it from them (what?? Really?) She was not helpful at all,had to look for another place to take it to (way out of our way). The guy there didn't want to take it either because we didn't rent it from there. My husband was not happy & told the guy he wasn't taking it to another so the man reluctantly took. You need to get it together UHAUL!

The guy at the Check in counter was very very rude. before I had any questions for him somebody came in and asked how much the boxes were and he said in a grumpy voice. the price is on the boxes. they asked where was it? and he said there! the person said where? he said beside the door in a tone that sounded like (your stupid for not seeing it). he told me I had to go outside and do the online check in at the truck. I then had issues with the online check-in at the truck.. it didn't work, every time I tried to load the page on my phone it would show something for a minute and then the page would be blank. (i work in it so i know what I'm doing with technology. I never received a confirmation email, but you guys charged my credit card. I showed the issue to the guy, and after a minute he said he couldn't help. I said to him then what can i do? he said contact u haul or i can make a new booking here. i said ok. he canceled my oroginal booking in a matter of secounds. (but couldn't check me out under that booking? and he proceeded with a new booking. he told he couldn't give me the same rate i had. I said why not? he said he was not U haul. i said U-haul is all around you, everywhere i looked was the u haul brand.. but you don't work for U haul? he said no. i work for so and so very angrily. i said then I don't want to do the rental.. he then angrily slid my ID back at me. I said, this is bull* (i was getting annoyed) i had been trying to do the online check-in outside in the cold for like 10 minutes and the guy inside the building can't help me? I proceeded to walk out and thought about my options. It was not worth my time to reserve another truck with another company, so i went ahead with the booking at the higher rate. Truck was fine. mostly clean (i did find cigarettes and hair spray under the seat) and ran well. I will never use u-haul again because of that guy. (and I've bought trailer hitch etc from u haul, was very happy. but this one guy spoiled it)

I got charged an extra $11 for dropping off at a different location just down the street. I was told there was not enough room at my indicated drop off location and to take it to the place down the street. I should not have been charged a drop off fee for doing what I was told to do. When I complained I was told that I would be getting a refund. I have yet to see it.

I was over charged for the rental after I was told that I would have the rental for 24 hours, the location closed at 5-6pm and was charged for an extra day which the rate what $40 higher than my original rate.

We drove past two much closer UHaul locations (w/trailers!) in order to rent a trailer at Security Storage. I made the reservation online at uhaul.com several weeks in advance, but was not given these locations as options. I'm not sure why I couldn't have had dibs on a trailer that was closer by, but this needs to be worked out in your system.

This location was the THIRD place I was told to leave it. The original place that I was supposed to drop the trailer literally REFUSED to let me leave it. They finally sent me to a second location. When I arrived, before I could get out of my truck, a clerk came running out of the J J Neighborhood store telling me that I could not leave it at that location either. She sounded pissed that the original location sent me to her. She got on the phone to someone and finally told me to take it the this third location. When I arrived it was closed and locked. Other than the UHaul signage on the trucks, there was no indication that this was a designated drop off location. I called the number on the invoice and got customer service who finally transferred me to a regional Tennessee office (instead of NC) person. He finally confirmed that I could just leave the trailer there unattended. I must say this was the most difficult experience I have ever had...driving around a strange city dealing with UHaul reps that just didn't care (other than the last phone rep). They were more interested in their own issues than trying to provide customer support. They grudgingly offered scant directions of where I could drop the trailer. Didn't seem concerned that I had been driving around Winston Salem for over an hour...they gave me the impression that it wasn't their problem, so they just didn't give a damn. VERY POOR INDEED!

This U-Haul rental was for a move from Winston-Salem, NC to Austin, TX. There was an issue with one of the headlights or something, and the U-Haul rep asked, "will you be driving at night???" Nonetheless and fortunately, this location had another 26 foot truck available that was more appropriate for over 1,200 miles (yes driving at night for some hours).

Our only problem was that we were told to take the trailer back to the Marshall street location. Upon arrival there they didn't want to take any more trailers. At that time we were sent to the Glendale location. It would have been nice to go directly to the appropriate location.

My assigned drop location was terminating their Uhaul service a couple days after my scheduled return, so they were unwilling to accept my one way rental. After spending hours of my time driving to four other locations also unwilling to accept my return, I was sent to a closed location that I was told by the previous location would accept it so I dropped it in their lot. I understand that plans can change, but some better coordination on Uhaul's part to not waste my time is expected.
